No way! Personally I think Duff is a great singer! It just depends what song is being sung... because Duff has a low voice maybe he might not be as good as singing songs with high notes as Axl is, but that doesn't make him crap! Everyone has different tastes and if you think Duff is crap then fair enough that is your opinion, but I think Duff is great!

That is funny stuff.  He sounds so HAMMERED through that whole portion of the video.  He also gave a great intervieew to MTV  news in early '91 talking about the Illusion music and why it was taking so long, and he said , "'Cause, Slash....like....he has these.....riffs.....that are...uh......like....these..............................................................
GUITAR riffs!.......and ....uhhhhh...".  He did another one from some party where he was SLOSHED, and the interviewer said "When will it be out?"  Duff actually flinched and gave a cartoony, drunken frown, then gave this shit-eating grin and said 'When it's done!"
Duff was pretty much my favorite non-Axl member then, and these interviews cemented that forvever.

I like Duff's vocals.  They're not particularly good from a technical standpoint, but he has some real emotion in there...he does have that classic punk vibe.

Duff does seem to be completely fucking wasted on his interwiev segments in the Tokyo dome videos.   I wouldn't say he's a bad singer, he was just so damn drunk and high during his time in GNR..obviously that would affect his ability to sing. And he's a punk rocker, not a fucking opera singer..  

Duff is the man.

We all love Duff, but don't like his singing.  If Duff never sang, the material would have been better.  We just have to "live" with Duff's singing because GNR is such an amazing band.   I would have preferred Axl's voice on all the material Duff sang on.  That would have rocked.  

And you know what, this shows that Axl isn't so much of a control freak after all.  He allowed Duff to sing what he wanted, and that's pretty cool.

I love the song SO FINE... The live versions.. the version on the Tokyo vids.. The versions where Axl sings it..

The studio version is good but not as good as when axl sings it...

Same song but different singer... Duff wrote it and its awsome.. but Axl should have sung it...

2. Duff has a great voice, that deserves to be heard! Imagine Axl all the way through!
Imagine GNR without DUFF, and his vocal ability! His voice stamps a mark on the GNR songs he sings!
Imagine No Duff backing vocals on AFD! Etc.
3. GNR is an amzing band! ALL Including DUFF have talent! {Which again needs to be shown to the whole wide world!}
4. None of the GNR members were control freaks, they just had different tatses that's all- fame drove them apart!
5. Duff wrote the god-damn song, he deserves to sing it!
6. I don't think Axl could sing You Can't Put You're Arms Around A Memory as good as DUFF! Why? Duff is a Johnny Thunders freak! He feel's for JT, and the music played!

7. Duff is a god-damn hottie! Which means when he sings GNR songs on stage you can get another excuse for seeing him with his top off! Duh!

Bottom line- Duff and his cool punk-rock voice rule!

Duff's vocals on 'Song for Beverly' were among the most chilling and heartfelt vocals I've ever heard in my life. Duff's Beautiful Disease album is one of rock's greatest lost albums, in my view.

Oh, and for some more Duff goodness, how about that bit on the Tokyo vids where he says:

"I know what Slash is thinking...in his head..."  

And Duff is the conductor of the band, without question. The band only really lost time or screwed up when Duff did, and he gives out all the cues for when things have to happen, and to be honest as a guitarist you really NEED a bassist who can do that.
