Bjork.  I mean, seriously, WTF?

I'm not a fan but now you hit the rock bottom. She's talented...he brought her own style in the 90's that nobody hadn't invented yet. I saw this document where many talented composers and musicians appraised this child of nature known by Bj?rk. even some rappers said that there are amazing sound samples going on in her songs..that's why 'cause Bj?rk use the sounds of Iceland's nature on her songs etc...If I remember in the document there were Bono, David Bowie and some others famous people talking about Bj?rk and her career.

Tara Palmer Tomkinson (? sp) she was an It girl, I'm not exactly sure what "It" means  Grin

"It" as in socialite who has it all, almost Jet Set like.

Actually....

an 'it' girl is a 1920's term

The elite wouldn't use words like sex, they would use 'inferences' like 'it' instead.

Though i have never heard of the person in question described as an 'it' girl, thats what it means.....

Jessica Simpson   (Chicken of the Sea girl)  Roll Eyes

Hilary Duff  - I saw her on magazine cover once and she looked like a younger version of Cher.  It was scary.

Judge Judy   Roll Eyes

It's times like these when I'm glad I got rid of the tv

Is it really ? thanks, i didn't know that. I guess the terms must have changed over the years then.
From what i know of the british elite, they are far less prude now than what most people make them.

As for TPT, she was friends with the son of Prince Charles mistress, Camilla Parler Bowles.
He is a case too that one.. hihi

You're right.  Evil comes in pairs!  That quartet needs to be hung, drawn and quartered... along with those Playboy Millenium twins.   Tongue

Paris Hilton!  She doesn't do anything.  Actually, that's incorrect; she's doing lots now, but she was doing nothing before, but that's why she became famous enough so that they would give her her own TV show, movies, book deals, etc.  Has anyone heard this airhead on TV shows?  She's so bland, dull, fake, and not even that hot!  Fuck off.

Every news anchor?

well they're on tv > you see them > you read their names > they're famous.
simple.

if i put on you on tv for a repetitive amount of time, you'd be famous too.

Why the hell did this thread come back after 14 freakin months? Grin

Anyway, Bjork rules indeed. Concerning the original question, I would say Paris Hilton, she fuckin gets on my nerves.

Yeye, but the discussion was heading to "what've they done to be in that position", you know, theyre just reading from this machine, and when they quit it's like the end of the world.
forget it, even i don't know what im talkin' about.

what comes to paris hilton:
Cheap heartbreaker, broken backed,
Nasty ballbreaker, stay out of my bed,
outta my head
If it's lovin' you, I'm better off dead

1) models

Any model.

Their job is to wear clothes to show the CLOTHES off, not them.
We shouldn't even know their name, we should know the name of the jumper they wear. or the cream.

2) Playmates/ Porn actors male and female

I don't find it normal that mister and misses "normal" with their " normal" kids know of people whose job is to sell or help sell sex.

3) Computer Engineers who invented something but who became mega stars with huge egos when they are people most of us would hate to know and don't want to know about anyway?

4) serial killers who end up having a fan club and corresponding with teenagers from prison, that baffles me

My list of "how the hell did they become famous people?!"

That Subway guy.  Come on... seriously... if you walked 7 miles to and from every meal, you could eat quarter pounders with cheese and drink a vat of Crisco with every meal and still lose weight.

Carrot Top.

Yahoo Serious.  I know what those words mean separately... but, combined?  Is that his real name?  Are his parents Yippee and Woohoo Serious?  And, I'm guessing his adopted brother, the serious (pardon the pun) one of the family is Completely Serious...

Vanilla Ice.  You rewrote music that had been around for 20 years.... then, you lied about your upbringing... and you got praised for all of this?

David Hassellhoff.  An even bigger mystery.... why is he worshipped as a god across the Atlantic?

Dennis Rodman.  While playing for the Detroit Pistons, he was one of the most dedicated and hard working men in the NBA.  Growing up in Detroit, trust me... Rodman was idolized as being a working class man in a working class town.  Virtually NO notice paid to him outside of Detroit until he starts showing up in wedding dresses marrying himself (please note, this is more a "why the hell wasn't he famous for just being a damn hardworking basketball player?")

Jim Morrison.  To quote Denis Leary's retelling of Jim Morrison's life "I'm drunk, I'm nobody.  I'm drunk, I'm famous.  I'm drunk, I'm fucking dead."  I guess I just missed the appeal of the Doors in general.
