and i dont think we should be telling him what to do.. in my opinion it'd be better if the letter was a letter of support rather than what we want..
i have so many things to say to axl but they're nothing he hasnt already heard from other fans.. so i'll just add this tadbit of info.

~Legions of fans eagerly await at a daily basis to hear/read from you about CD because we are all psyched about how great the new songs are.

I think we make a simple page ( i liked this one   ) , put all of our feelings, support and send it to axl?s manager, but making sure that he ( axl ) will read.

And send a CC to Blabbermouth who will in turn report it and probably spin it enough to get noticed by Axl if he has not already.

Erm... here's how I thought it ought to go ... I kinda made it a one on one, so it's like each one of us talking to Axl.

Dear Mr. Rose,

First off, can I call you Axl? Thanks.

Well, Axl, to be honest, this isn't a letter telling you just how much we want the new album, as much as we really DO want it.

This is a letter, that we hope will perhaps be the start of a lucrative and insightful conversation between the two of us, you and me.

I've been waiting a long time ... and still do wait. Patience, that's what we need .. right?

I could never say it's been a hard wait, for all the time I've spent in quiet (well, not completely) consideration of the possibilities that you (as GNR) could explore in that long-awaited endeavor of GNR's that is, Chinese Democracy, has been well spent, as I've grown and learnt to not just accept things as they appear. The latest proof of which has been BucketHead's departure, a tale which seemed prima facie simple enough, but turned out to be as obscure as the Bucketed One's identity.

And I've also begun to appreciate your previous endeavors in a new light, and the songs I'd once thought mediocre, or perhaps never understood, have grown on me.

I've been well, by the way, a few hitches but okay on the whole. And I really like the new line up. I won't lie... they're not .. the usual suspects. They're the odd bunch, but frankly the few of us that have seen your shows, have liked them.

But who is in the band doesn't really matter to me. And what you do and when you do it, well that's your call.

All I await, quietly and patiently, is your music.

Your lyrics - at times cryptic, at times to the point. The music, perhaps what I really want to know, is how each member has contributed to the SOUND of GN'R.

Yeah, the sound has changed, and you've come a long way. And I would love to hear it, to take quiet satisfaction in the stunned looks on the faces of people as the CD kicks in.

I know this must be tough on you, your first CD in years, and I know that the expectations are high, but you have nothing to fear... really. This is me, and that there's you. And what we are is just a man and his fan.  

But enough about me ...

So how've you been?
