Favourite Sentences

I know this actually more that one sentence but when ever I've fucked up something I find comfort in these lines.

When I find out all the reasons, maybe I'll find another way, find another day. With all the changing seasons of my life, maybe I'll get it right next time.

Hateto be a pedant (oh who am I kidding, I love it), but that line is originally from Carole King and Gerry Goffin's 'Goin' back', which was made famous by Dusty Srpingfield and covered by Freddie in his pre-queen days (under the name 'Larry Lurex'), which is of course sampled on 'mother love'. But you probably already knew all of that.

Yes man, but when you listen it in Mother Love sounds really touching. And I like it better that way

sends a shiver down my spine!  The song is filled with great sentences, and he does them justice by singing soulfully.

And although I'm really not much of a Nirvana fan, I'm only in the mood for thinking of simple sentences, and this one comes to mind:

"Come as you are, as you were, as I want you to be."

I don't know about everyone else, but to me that's just a good way of telling someone - whoever, maybe even a group of people - that you accept them, perhaps love them, for who they are. And that they needn't worry about trying to change to suit your needs more than they already do.
