What would you think if Axl released a solo record where he does all kinds of piano songs? Not necessarily ballads but just piano kind of stuff. Blues, Jazz perhaps some Classical pieces. Wouldn't that be awesome? After listening to the intro to November Rain at Pittsburgh 2002 I think it would be very cool to hear him play the piano even more. I can't stop listening to it. It's just great.

an Axl piano record would be great at the end of his career. Not now but later yes it would be awesome. A kind of blues/jazz/ballads piano album with accoustic guitar too here and then. It would be very touching.

no, there is a big difference between Elton John and Axl anyways. Voice is very different and playing too. Can't compare them. But like rocktar81 said: "A kind of blues/jazz/ballads piano album with accoustic guitar too here and then. It would be very touching."

I agree with Rocktar about the timing of an acoustic release.
Yes, Axl should save that for his later years that he'll either be spending in a)a loony bin, b)alone locked away in a Vegas motel like Howard Hughes, c)a hospital due to lung or throat cancer, or d) (which I hope is true) after retiring at the top of his game, finally garnering the respect he is due as the greatest fuckin' rocker of all time!  love

Could that little piano solo before "The Asshole Song," from last tour be a part of a new piano song???  It is short, but BEAUTIFUL...hopefully part of the beauty that is soon to come with Chinese Democracy.  love

That'd rock. But the timing of a release like this would have to be anytime after Chinese Democracy

It goes without saying, Axl would have to write and record it first, and we all know how long that may take. But its a nice idea.

Well...Axl would probably have problems and setbacks with the piano keys....the piano wire....the piano acoustics...and various lawsuits with the piano manufacturer.  He'd probably fire various parts of the piano...and some parts of the piano would get fed up with his antics and quit functioning.  So he'd never be able to release the album...a pity too, cuz I'd love to hear it.

"it's alright" is a piano song, and even if it's a cover, it's one of the best song on "live erea", it's just WONDERFULL.
Boring? no
touching? yes, definitely.
have you already heard "dust in the wind" too? that's just amazing. an album with 11 or 12 piano songs like that would be one of the greatest piece of art ever. It would be true music, true feeling by a true artist.

I don't think it would be boring at all. If you choose to play different kinds of styles of music, then I think it could be a very interesting kind of album.

It would be super cooooooool!  beer

He should release CD, then focus on touring etc.
And in between it all- he should work on a solo project!

Slash told him to do this- it would clear his head etc.
It would be great to hear what Axl's all about!
His thoughts and feelings!

No thanks.

I see no reason for the pussification of all things Axl Rose/GNR.

What's next?  A duet with Billy Joel?
