19 pages of reading, yikes  nervous

I think what happened was that the wrong person asked Buckethead about Guns N Roses and Herbie answered with "Buckethead doesn't do that anymore" (because he thinks CD is done)  That wrong person then went crying to Mtv.

Just my thought on it  smoking

Ridiculous....lets talk about ridiculous. The guy's name is buckethead! Good Guitarist.... but a definite freak. The man wears a mask and a KFC bucket on his head. Not having  Buckethead can't hurt the band any more than their image has already been screwed up by him being in the band. I mean just play music for god sake. I cant believe people are sitting here debating weather "Buckethead" is screwed up for leaving the band. Screwed up is talking through an interpreter who happens to be a puppet on your hand...That's fucked up. Robin finck is a great guitarist he can do the trick. I saw new GNR in Toronto and Robin clearly handled the load of lead Guitar, for the most part Bucket walked around doing nothing waiting for the odd solo. I always sensed something not right between Bucket and GNR.... he clearly wanted a distinct separation between himself and the band just look at his website..he used to have a message board link for people to separately discuss his "involvement with Guns n Roses". I believe the whole thing was just a gig for him and he was never really a part of the band anyway. I say so-long weirdo. That being said I really don't blame him for not wanting to sit around doing nothing forever. At this point I'll be surprised if I ever hear the illusive Chinese Democracy.

What if BH wants to get rid of the costume for his role in GNR.  What if they stage the departure of BH only so Axl can name as his replacement an unknown phenom (with a stage name) taht is actually BH unmasked.  He could still be BH for all his other work, but he would be this alterego for GNR.  I know that is a crazy thought, but I am really reaching here, because without BH this band is below mediocre.

Sounds great to me  smoking But who am I ?! just another junkie  Wink

The first junkie must be me  Cool, because this is what I thought when I first heard the rumour. Otherwise I thought  he might have some health problem.

True. But previously I don't have the impression it was taken as seriously as it is now. The last time(s) he left didn't make so much noise. This is why (in my opinion) we need an official statement about this from Geffen/ Sanctuary/ the band, just to clear things up.

Let logic guide you. If you don't hear anything from Sanctuary, then he has not officially left. If you do, then he has

Also, take from the rumours and the MTV story the kind of person he is

You can learn alot about situatuons just by being slightly more attentive with stories that are released in the media

For instance, Guns n'roses' new album will be called Chinese Democracy for sure. Now, I could tell that without asking anyone. How? Well  firstly, it is mentioned on the Sanctuary website, and secondly, it was mentioned in the recent Sanctuary press release. Read into things

It's a little late in the game for you Axl people to start using the word "logic". You all gave up that right with your incessant excuse making & rationalizing for Axl over all these past years.

Also, while I'm not surprised the character assassination of BH has begun on this board , I have to say I'm really surprised that you're taking part, Mysteron, with your subtle digs & you using this situation to show "what kind of a person he is", whatever that means.

Word to a lot of that  smoking

Although I think he was talented, I agree with a lot. However I didnt want this to happen at this fragile point in GNRs time, with whats happened with Geffen etc.. I wanted to hear that things were running as normal and RIR4 would be cool, and an album in our hands for around that time.

It's weird that you're saying this, because I thought exactly the opposite. Everytime a rumour got too big, the management was pretty quick in debunking it. I expect that to happen in the next 24 hours if the story is untrue.
On the other hand, everytime something bad happened, we didn't hear a word from the management. Like after the failed 2002 tour : I'm sure there were legal reasons behind this, but they didn't even give a short explanation, something that could have eased us.
To me, if we don't hear anything in the next 24 hours, Buckethead is definitely out.  Undecided

ZAKK WYLDE WILL NEVER EVER LEAVE OZZY OSBOURNE.  HE HAS SAID THIS ABOUT A DOZEN TIMES IN THE PAST YEAR.  HE WON'T LEAVE OZZY FOR AXL OR ANYONE ELSE.

Thank you and have a nice day.   Smiley

that may be true (although you shouldn't say "never"). but ozzy could announce he's finished at any point.

then zack would be free....and in a best case scenario could be known as the guitarist that saved GNR.

but it seemes like its no full time job to be in GNR... zakk could still be with ozzy and GNR at the same time, as BH did making all those albums while beeing in GNR....

and ozzy isnt touring THAT much either....

Ozzy tours Ozzfest every year, U.S. and Europe.  He's under contract to do so until 2005, and then he may well extend his contract after that.

Zakk also does Black Label Society on the side, so his schedule is completely full.

Zakk also said last year that Axl needed to just sit down with Slash and work everything out, because GNR was only going to work with the original lineup.  And as far as "saving" Axl, I doubt any guitarist (or anybody) can save Axl......because Axl has to be saved from himself.

Just face it people, Zakk will never join Axl.  I'm the biggest Ozzy/Zakk disciple walking the earth, and I know what I'm talking about.   Smiley

Its been Axl's thing for a number of years now, i was gonna say Dizzys as well....but thats just silly.

I respect Dizzy for his loyalty and hope one day in the next 100 years that loyalty will be rewarded.

Dizzy's "loyalty?"

What options does Dizzy have?  I don't think he's with Axl because of loyalty.  I think he sticks by Axl because that's what pays the bills.

Wasn't Dizzy living on the street when Axl formally brought him into GNR?

Didnt he try that before?  I think Zakk tried to work with both, but then I read in an article where he said that he got a letter from gnr management saying 'his services werent needed anymore'.

Pretty rude of Axl if you ask me.  As long he treats guitarists as if they were cleaning maids who do their 'services', well, who is going to want to work with him?  Except people who need the money?

Damn near.  He said that one day before Axl asked him to join the band, the electric company had told him they were cutting off the power in his dank apartment within 24 hours.

Yes, and the bad thing was he had already turned down the opportunity to tour with Ozzy during Ozzy's comeback tour in 1995, just weeks before he received that letter.  And by the time he got it, Ozzy was pissed off at his delays and had already started touring with Joe Holmes on guitar.  So Zakk languished with BLS (decent band, but low selling and drawing) when he could've been headlining with Ozzy during a huge world tour.

Ozzy eventually hired Zakk back, for his 2001 album Down to Earth, and told Zakk he had to make a definite commitment to tour or not, and Zakk very willingly said yes.  He has since sung Ozzy's praises at every opportunity and stated numerous times he won't ever leave Ozzy again.

I just read on ozzyhead.com that Ozzy is started to write for a new album, and Zakk will definitely be included in that.  And of course, Zakk is booked to play Ozzfest with BLS and Ozzy, so looks like Zakk's tied up for quite awhile.

I like VR better anyways. Atleast they GET IT DONE, AXL!

For all we know, Scott could wind up getting busted and go to jail any ole'day. That would pretty much put them in worse shape than Axl.  This is not a good stance to have.

Well, they would still have an album on store shelves.  I think that puts them way ahead of Axl.
