Fuck! just heard the news.. crying

Just wondering that what does Dizzy's wife knows about anything...Yesterday She said that buckehead is in and now we heard this...

I'm going to say this one time, nicely:

Please leave Lisa alone.  She's a sweet lady.  She does her best to "help out" the gnr community when she can by confirming/denying rumors, to the best of her knowledge.  She doesn't deserve to be poked at with sharp sticks....so do me favor and be nice.

Sorry about that..I was pissed off because yesterday i saw news/rumors about that buckethead is no longer in gnr...i was shocked...but then i saw that update that buckethead is still in i was that great that he is still in

and then this morning  crying

You know, I've been playing guitar for just over a year and a half, and I can play everything by GnR, that I try. Slash's stuff, well absolutely amazeing, was not super complicated. Richard adn Robin, both have been playing guitar for well over 20 years, I'm pretty sure they have what it takes. When Finck changes Slash's solo's, he's not screwing up he's changes what he wants. And when he does screw up, please watch any old performance by the old band, they where riddled with mistakes. Just because it looks like Bucket is leaveing, let's not insult Richard or Finck, they both deserve respect. Plus any guy that is hand picked by Trent, and Axl, has to be pretty damn good at what he does....

I'm far from the biggest Buckethead supporter, but I'll welcome him back with open arms if that spares us from having Finck take over lead duties.  nervous

The other day I asked if it was possible if Buckethead was just waiting until his contract to end to officially depart the band and it looks like that could be the case.

Mysteron, do you happen to know when his contract ends? I heard sometime in 2005 but I don't know if that's true.

If Buckethead is really gone, I think it's time for Axl to just let the band's name die with the little remaining dignity that it has.  no

It's become quite apparent that Mysteron only knows what "management" wants him to know. I don't doubt he asks mgmnt the questions & they provide "answers", but they are always vague & generic, & hardly ever provide any real info.

Well, well, well.  Wasn't this just predictable.  For all of us that at one time or another got caught up in the possibility of CD ever seeing the light of day, we should have known this was the likely ending to the story.

I don't see them continuing without BH.  There are precious few people that care about GNR now.  With BH gone that number gets reduced drastically.

A thought though.  And excuse me if this has been mentioned in this thread whereas I only read the first 7 pages:

What if BH wants to get rid of the costume for his role in GNR.  What if they stage the departure of BH only so Axl can name as his replacement an unknown phenom (with a stage name) taht is actually BH unmasked.  He could still be BH for all his other work, but he would be this alterego for GNR.  I know that is a crazy thought, but I am really reaching here, because without BH this band is below mediocre.

BTW, no way RIR4 happens now.  And if it does by some miracle...get ready for an AFD heavy set.

There is no recovery from this, I just cannot see any circumstances whereby they can circumvent this event.
It was certainly interesting anyway.

Firstly, I think you're lieing.  There is no way you can play all Slash's stuff after only playin guitar for a year and a half.
Secondly, if you think Finck is worthy of GN'R lead duties, then you're wrong.  Well, from what I've heard anyway.  I've heard his solo spots from Rio, and from Idaho, and they suck.  There's no other way to describe it.  It sounds like a complete novice playing.

I'll leave slagging off his tone for another time, but i'll tell you, Finck is not lead guitarist material.  It's that simple.

You know, Bucket COULD come back if Axl decided to release the damn album.  I don't care if it's perfect or not.

It's getting friggin' ridiculous already!

Why can't we know the complete truth? That might ease the fire and avoid some comments we've read on the board since yesterday (actually since december 2002).

Management companies, such as Sanctuary, are strictly forbidden from revealing the internal affairs of their clients, and have to be careful about what information they release

Bucket's management company didn't care much about that apparently...lol
I think that's fair enough but in situations like these, I think it would be their duty to tell the fans via a website or some sort of email to GN'R sites: "True, Bucket is gone." or "Nope, he's still in, he's got a contract and can't leave like that." or "MTV just made that up, Bucket has no manager." Exactly. We have Buckethead's manager commenting on the affairs of Guns n'roses. What does that say about him? Try asking Tommy's manager about Guns n'roses and you get the utmost professionalism

As I said previously, when Bucket terminates his contract with Guns n'roses, then management will then announce his departure. Until then, they cannot say anything. Think about it logically, if Buckethead was a wayward thinking individual, and left, rejoined, left, rejoined every five seconds....and management kept commentating on this, how would this look to the average individual. It would look even more ridiculous than the current situation, no?

True. But previously I don't have the impression it was taken as seriously as it is now. The last time(s) he left didn't make so much noise. This is why (in my opinion) we need an official statement about this from Geffen/ Sanctuary/ the band, just to clear things up.

The article reported that Buckethead had left on other occasions and returned... then it said that this time it looks like its for good.

When did he leave before?  I know there have always been rumours.. but nothing that ever seemed founded in truth.  What are they talking about?

Let logic guide you. If you don't hear anything from Sanctuary, then he has not officially left. If you do, then he has

Also, take from the rumours and the MTV story the kind of person he is

You can learn alot about situatuons just by being slightly more attentive with stories that are released in the media

For instance, Guns n'roses' new album will be called Chinese Democracy for sure. Now, I could tell that without asking anyone. How? Well  firstly, it is mentioned on the Sanctuary website, and secondly, it was mentioned in the recent Sanctuary press release. Read into things
