I like VR better anyways. Atleast they GET IT DONE, AXL!

For all we know, Scott could wind up getting busted and go to jail any ole'day. That would pretty much put them in worse shape than Axl.  This is not a good stance to have.

Bitches leave

« Reply #322 on: March 18, 2004, 12:37:30 PM »

i don't feel sorry for him. He is at the center of this mess.

Buckethead has left. I don't think we should delude ourselves that he will be coming back.

I'm guilty too often of trying to squeeze lemonade from lemons....but here goes:

This could possibly be a good thing.  IF buckethead is contractually bound, and cannot technically leave the band, but has made such a drastic backdoor assertion that he intends to be out of the band...THEN this could be the ultimatim that finally prompts Axl to go on and release the album.  Meaning, Axl would realize the seriousness of losing Bucket, and would tell the guy "alright, alright, if you stay in, I will go on and let go of the album."

Who knows, could be  Undecided

It took a long time for me to get used to Buckethead in GNR, but now I can't face GNR without him.

I know Axl will get over this but for god sake someone start a petiton to get BH back, if he knows how much he is liked by the fans he might reconsider.

Yes I know I sound like a sad little girl, but I am a serioud hardore newGNR fan, gnr needs BH

As long it?s not official, Buckethead is still in for me. And the mail from GnR?s management keeps my hopes up. GnR will be paying RiR. We should wait for that.
Anyway, I know it?s hard sometimes because there is nothing new and nothing official, but we shouldn?t cry about all these bad rumours, but we should support GnR. What?s up with all the street teams and stuff?
As long there are plans, we should supprt GnR!  beer

Here's something to think about:

IF Bucket refuses to show up and play
IF GnR is forced to cancel the gig

You mean if Buckethead starts acting like Axl?  Roll Eyes

Sorry, pilerk, I dont mean to be rude, but I find it incredibly callous of the nuGNR fans to suddenly make this guitarist the 'BAD MAN'.   We have one poster calling his work "cheesy" after vehemently defending him, and another poster accusing him of extortion (forcing Axl to give him more $$) - oh yeah!!!

I had no idea who this guy before he joined GNR, and I still havent bothered to listen to his solo work, but didnt we hear previously that Bucket is currently ill?  I hope he plays at RIR4 but not at the expense of his health.

Just to be clear: I like Bucket.  I think, with what little of it I've heard, his work with GnR is very good.  I'm sad to see him go.  I simply wanted to point out an interesting "wrinkle" that no one had yet commented on.

I'm not sayin Axl/GnR would pursue it, nor, necessarily, would the festval co-ordinators.  I just think it's interesting that they COULD, if he has a valid contract.

As for Bucket acting like Axl...well, that's not completly unfair.  However, when Axl has acted that way, he has been forced to pay the piper.  I simply thought it would be interesting to point out who "the piper" might be in this case.

Pilferk - I just read your sig:
"Considering the current news...and our bet...unless there is a drastic change, for the next 30 days:
I am Crowebar's dog boy. "

Did you make a bet that CD would be out this year?  Grin

I remember reading a post where someone made a similar bet with his gf/wife and I think he is now washing dishes for this whole year  hihi

Well, here's hoping you dont have to be anyone's dog boy.

I cannot believe the amount of posts saying this, that, and the other about Axl, Buckethead, GNR, etc.

We don't even have official confirmation yet! There's a lot of people here who can't wait to let everyone know their opinions on anything, but if it turns out he hasn't left, ur gonna look like asses.

I'm waiting for something concrete, an MTV report does not set anything in stone. Chill, relax, have a beer, and wait (you've had enough practice).  smoking

Well, here's hoping you dont have to be anyone's dog boy.

Crowebar and I, about a month ago, made a little bet about Bucketheads leaving GnR.  The bet was that, if there was official news by June that Buckethead had left GnR, I would add "I am Crowebar's dog boy".  If not, then he would add to his sig "I am Pilferk's dog boy".  I consider the MTV report to be relatively official.  Should it turn out to be wrong...I'll pull the sig.  It'll be there until April 16th, FYI. Geffen released Guns N`Roses Gretest Hits to cover the costs of CD knowing full well Buckethead was on his way out. It makes sense really  ok

No Buckethead = no GNR playing live = The End of GN`R (...unless they re_form, which isn`t going to happen too soon Wink ).

...could this mean no CD release?

----------------

There`s still hope though. Maybe in 20 years time when Axl can play guitar and has picked up the drums we`ll get to see a one man band called GN`R Wink

Shaun, you are correct about the first statement.

CD will come out and the band will continue.

I'm far from the biggest Buckethead supporter, but I'll welcome him back with open arms if that spares us from having Finck take over lead duties.  nervous

The other day I asked if it was possible if Buckethead was just waiting until his contract to end to officially depart the band and it looks like that could be the case.

Mysteron, do you happen to know when his contract ends? I heard sometime in 2005 but I don't know if that's true.

If Buckethead is really gone, I think it's time for Axl to just let the band's name die with the little remaining dignity that it has.  no
