I was chatting on Yahoo.com's "Metal" chat section when out of the blue someone typed in large letters: "Guns-N-Roses long overdue album, CHINESE DEMOCRACY will be released on July 4". He claimed he was a disgruntled engineer who did not appreciate how the whole Chinese Democracy campaign was being held. He also said that starting on April fools, there will be a HUGE marketing blitz for Chinese Democracy. I have been let down so many times I do not believe anything anymore. Does anyone know anything about this???
I've been bored with GN'R this last few months so I find myself searching boards for any credible rumor. This one interested me quite a bit. Don't know what to think anymore, maybe Axl would pull something like this ya never know.

come july they'll probably say in early fall, next thing you know this time next year we're saying cd is back out on the 4th, i do believe there's an amazing album out there, i'm just not so sure when or if we ever get it,

Well, as a general rule, its pretty safe to believe anything stated in a "metal" chatroom as fact. This rumor has more credentials than anything I've heard in the last three months.

Ok from now on people, whenever you hear a date, check to see what day of the week it is, if it's not a tuesday, then it's crap. July 4th is a sunday, there's no way it would ever be released on a sunday. Sometimes cd's will get released on a friday, but that's only when it's been moved up due to downloading. However it's always scheduled for a tuesday released, then pushed up.

The only reason I posted this is the release date is so interesting. It could happen who knows when this thing is coming out. Someone will have a lucky guess one day and actually be right, maybe this is the one. The album "should" be out before RIR4 if Axl really wants to make a comeback to the rock scene.

Well, this sounds true, but I believe 50 Cent is considering putting out his follow-up on July 4th. The difference is that 50 Cent can afford that, not sure about Axl. |
