I think that Dizzy doesnt hate them or anything

the real problem is between Axl and Slash. They are the 2 who hate each other now. I don't even think that Duff "hates" Axl and I don't think Axl "hates" Duff. the same for izzy, matt, gilby etc...
all that story is a Slash/Axl or Axl/Slash problem. They just need to talk.

I think Axl hates Izzy. Didn't he say in a rant that 'Do you remember the guy Izzy Stradlin'? Fuck Izzy Stradlin'! Izzy wrote the song...all by himself...and this is for Izzy, this is called Double Talkin' Jive Motherfucker' It means hate. Later when they tried to regroup, he fired Izzy without a cause - and Izzy said in the last year that 'Axl is an asshole'. Well, it not necessarly means hate, but they really don't like each other. Axl called Matt an 'albatros', but does not seem to care about him. In his interview, Matt said things about Axl - he doesn't like Axl, or hates, I don't know. And Axl also said nasty things about Duff, but Axl has a bad word for everyone, he's crazy.

I think Axl hates Izzy

Wherever Izzy is, whatever Izzy's doing, I just want the guy to be happy.  That makes me happy.

"Double Talkin Jive Motherfucker" was not about hate.  It was about a double talkin' jive motherfucker.

Izzy quit the band on November 7, 1991.  He wasn't fired.  He only returned briefly to play a few shows for the injured Gilby Clarke in 1993.

Matt said that he would rather work with Axl again over Gina Gershwin or somthing like that...

He mentioned in an interview a few years ago how he hopes vr does well. He said they are good and hope they have fun.

VR as a band has only existed for less than a year  Huh

Where is this quote from?  It always amazes me how contradictory the red-headed one is.

One minute he calls Izzy up and is real nice to him.  Then when Izzy comes over to his mansion, Axl yells at him, and tells Rolling Stone that "it wouldnt be healthy" to see him again.  What on earth does that mean?  Izzy hasnt been a junkie in a very long time.

Instead he opts for Izzy-lookalikes such as Fortus.  Somebody asks Fortus for his autograph thinking it's Izzy, and Axl takes this as a sign that he should be in the band.... WTF?!

NO LOGIC HERE TODAY!

Axl said that during the "Making of Don't Cry" video.

Axl meant it wouldn't be emotionally healthy for him to see Izzy again.  Personally, I don't think Axl has any concept of what is healthy for him.  Izzy was the best thing that ever happened to that guy.

Wasn't there a recent picture of him with Gilby and Teddy?

By ex-gunners, I mean Matt, Duff, Izzy and Slash.

ofcourse you did, cuz gilby was less then a member then Matt was....

I think so, yeah...

Not only was he there longer, but least Matt participated in an original Guns N' Roses record.

 Roll Eyes

Is this not true?  Feel free to dispute that with why you believe Gilby is more a GNR member...

Matt was with the band for seven years, played on three albums, two of which were original.  Nothing against Gilby, but how many original GNR records did he contribute to?  Gilby replaced Izzy as rhythm guitarist for touring and a covers project...and he still wasnt even around that long.

You see, this isnt a topic where the answer is obvious and Im just supposed to know why youre rolling your eyes...so back yourself up, something I dont think Ive ever seen you do.  Explain why Im wrong about this.

Axl and Izzy tried to work together in 1995, when GN'R was looking for a second guitarist, cause Slash didn't want to work with Paul. Axl wanted either Izzy or Zakk, Slash wanted Izzy or Ryan Roxie. As Izzy said in some interviews, he met Axl, and then made a date when he was invited to Axl's house, but the bodyguard didn't allow him to enter, because Axl changed his mind and didn't want to work with Izzy.
If Axl names Izzy (who you are right left the group in 1991 - but Slash said Izzy was between leaving by his own choice and getting fired after an argument with Axl) as a Double talkin' jive person, and 'Fuck Izzy Stradlin'', it means he hates him. Well, sometimes he doesn't - it's like releasing CD. Axl sometimes wants to release it, then changes his mind.

Say what?  When did Axl say that?

Dizzy, I'm trying to remember exactly where I heard this.  I remember listening to the GNR internet radio, and you know Axl likes to formally introduce the band? Well, he goes through the laundry list "Thomas James Stinson", "Mr. Buckethead", "Monsieur Brain", etc.  And when he gets to Fortus, he mentions the Izzy connection, and you can hear the happiness in his voice!

Perhaps Jarmo can correct (or verify) me on this?  Huh

Hey now!! I'm not angry with any of you guys. I'm sorry about the whinner comment too. I just don't like to hear anyone whinning all the time about the same old shit. Anyway.........Dizzy would never shun away from any of the old band members. I do know that last year at his 40th birthday roast in Vegas, that Steven Adler was there and he was quite wasted, but what else is new?? I think everyone had a lot to drink that night, just some a little more. LOL....yeah...........Dizzy never talks bad about any of the old band members. If there were any bad feelings between him and anyone, he sure as hell hasn't told me.  beer

Really?  How did he and Dizzy get along?

And was Axl there as well?  The thought of Axl and Steven being in the same room is intriguing.  I wonder how they would react to each other.

Any thoughts?

No it doesn't.  It just means he is angry at Izzy.  I've said things like that to people in the past, and it doesn't mean I hated them, it was just an expression of anger.  There's a difference.

Nah.......Axl wasn't there, but like I said Steven showed up. Not even sure if he was there to help celebrate or just happened to be there. He did talk to Dizzy and wanted to jam but Dizzy refused cause Steven was so wasted, and besides........it was Dizzy's birthday bash. Why should he perform?? All in all everyone had a great time.

Oh okay, I didn't quite understand that statement at first.  Axl meant that he took it as a sign that Richard should be in the band, because he was mistaken for Izzy.  I initially thought that the statement meant that Axl took it as a sign that Izzy should be back in the band.   confused
