When a band puts out a greatest hits CD, most of the time they talk about there next project or when the newest album is coming out.  Do you think Axl will put something in the booklet about a release date or the status of Chinese Democracy..?  This would be a great idea for the new band.  It would expose new people to new information on GN'R and Chinese Democracy.  I hope Axl pulls something like this...it would make this release something to look forward too.

The album is not endorsed by Axl or GNR therefore they will have little if nothing to do with the booklet etc.

Considering he's not supposedly supporting the release ... odds are against it.

Considering he's W. Axl Rose ... odds are against it.

I doubt also that..it just wouldn't be Axl's style, and when we think the fact that Axl very highly don't want to this album get released

Thats because we are all nerds and have followed his life for a long time.  And based on his previous actions in the past he would never do anything like this.  And we haven't seen anything to see that he has changed, so I think it is safe to say that he is still the same.

I can't see anything being mentioned in the booklet, but I can't see why a sticker couldn't be put on the wrapper with a CD release date, or coming soon or something.
Great "free" advertising.   A lot of old and or casual fans might not even know that there is a new GNR with an album coming out.   Also a great reminder to those who have given up or forgotten.

Of course this is assuming CD is coming soon.  If they have an idea when CD is actually coming out they would be stupid to not thake this chance to promote it.

You'll be lucky if you get anything other than the cover art and a tracklist....

I agree that it probably will not say anything.  But what a way to promote there new album and actually let people know it's GOING to come out.  And were still holding our breath on even a tidbit of news.  I've never seen an album so under wraps...so the waiting game is ok I guess.  But an actually projected release date would be GREAT.
I'm thinking he will say something about the status of the new band.

i can't see a single message or note featured in the booklet. i think it's be cool if there was a sticker issued on the GH album and all of Gn'R's other albums saying new studio album drops on x/xx/xx like Metallica did for their long awaited St. Anger album.

Well let's hope someone from GN'R reads into this post and actually makes it happen.  Chinese Democracy to be dropped July 04...that would be beyond great.

I think that would be a good thing to put a sticker on the album with the new studio date.

No, it must be a sticker on the digi pak in case so it's easy to change if someone wants to change the release date...

That would be a great idea, it would remind old fans there is actually an album and would make the release anticipated, good free advertising as well.

Not sure it will happen tho    Roll Eyes

I actually posted something similar last week. If  AXl and the record company agreed to release the GH with a limited edition bonus disc included that features one new song from the upcoming Chinese Democracy CD, it would be brilliant.
It would alert casual fans of the new band, and would make die-hard fans by the GH disc to get the new song. Then they could add an insert announcing the release date.
But as others have said, Axl is against it the release. GH albums that have the bands input (and one or two new tracks) often work as great segueways into the bands next project.
