I don't have Sympathy for the Devil on CD. I have it as an MP3 somewhere backed up on a CD from my old computer. Also, these songs are all remastered. I'm looking forward to hearing Welcome. SCOM, Paradise City, Patience, etc. sounding much fuller. Like buddy said ahead of me, it's a great mix to have in the car or to take to the gym to workout to. Sure I could make it myself, but it woulnd't sound nearly as good!

I agree with the lot of you that are buying it because you want it, and are not giving into what a bunch of people on this site are believing. Everything we're hearing is all speculation. Even if Axl posted something official (god forbid) on the gnronline.com site saying don't buy it because I'm not "endorsing" it, I'd still buy it. I like to make my own choices in life...

I highly doubt this will be a bare bones CD. When the DVD's came out last year, there wasn't nearly this much buzz going around. There's a reason there....

Nope - won't buy it - have all this already and I don't care how pretty it looks!  This is for the fakers and the nostaglic.  I disagree strongly with its release.  Collectionists will buy it to have everything and I think that is an unfair cash grab.  The Beatles do this shit - release Sgt. Pepper in Japan on swirled pink and white vinyl with a collectors coin and shit.... just to milk the fans for the same old stuff.  I don't agree this is fair to collectors...... and a note to collectors - don't even buy this - it will be worthless to you in the end anyhow.  If they thew me a bone and but a bonus DVD with it or put it on vinyl - perhaps I'd consider it but that isn't happening so why bother.  This release is greedy tripe from the label.  I hope it blows up in their face.

I dont think Ill buy it either unless something must see is inside or whatever. This cd isnt directed at us anyway but to the general public or kids who dont own it or wont buy the complete cds or whatever.

Axl has had to come up with a whole range of songs, get a band, he's very busy and has been very busy to make THREE cds full of GREAT songs! You'll see!!

When GH was first rumored last year, I was vehemently against buying it. But I change my mind about things all the time. Now I think I'll probably get it because of improved sound quality (for SCOM alone, plus the others) and because at the end of the day, GNR is my favorite band and they mean a lot to me. Plus, hell, I spent $150 for tickets so my girlfriend and I could watch a virtual live greatest hits during the Fall '02 tour, why not $12 for a cd?

The track listing is a fucking disgrace.  I have met (ignorant) people who think that all GN'R's best songs are covers.  Someone even thought that Nov Rain was by the Beatles!  This GH is not doing the band any favours except one thing - money (which is the bottom line on why this is getting released).

I don't see why you people are complaining.  Not everybody is a hardcore gnr spaz (most people aren't),  and greatest hits are usually bought by casual fans, not diehards. Take it easy,  the world doesn't revolve around a small percentage of diehards, and GnR isnt obligated to cater to your needs...you have to look at the big picture, namely the casual music listeners.

That being said, I probably will not buy it, but have nothing against it being released.

you bet your ass i'll buy it!  Maybe if Axl sees a lot of sales it will make him confident to put out Chinese Democracy, or who the fuck knows, maybe the release date inside the booklet like I think the release date for a Cheap Trick cd was in the Greatest Hits booklet too!  And I own all the songs except for Sympathy for Devil, a reason why I will buy it but not only that, yeah we own all the discs, but you don't all the best songs on one disc, like what if your listening to fuckin Sweet Child O' Mine and you wanna hear Knockin on Heaven's Door, you gonna switch your fucking discs every time!?  No, you just buy The Greatest Hits cd and they are both on there.  I love Greatest Hits cds, they r fuckin' great.  I'm excited as hell about this cd and cannot wait.
