I don't think an entertainer should pretend to be an artist (and vice versa). Which one is Axl? I've really lost track. GnR is a rock band, not a Bach-esque entity. And yet, this album has been in the works for 10 years as if it's some amazing composition to end all compositions. I expect it to be innovative, but I also expect it to be a rock album. And rock albums (good ones at least) tend NOT to be art. I hope once Axl re-emerges he's not some big artsy fucker. |

Over 200 signatures so far, but we need some more  I just want to say that I don't want to send this off. I'm hoping the band will put out a statement soon. But going on the past that's not likely, and I'll probably be sending this off. Another thing, if anyone is leary about signing this because they're afraid it might cause problems to the band, don't worry, it won't. All we're asking for is an update on Chinese Democracy by GNR's management, not the record label. That's not illegal and it won't get the band in any trouble. If there are any questions or concerns feel free to ask. |

I was doing a search on yahoo for something GNR related and I found an old petition from 2001 asking for an update. It had 1655 signatures. It's scary to think that 3 years later we are back in the same position.
