In case anyone is disgruntled with our current political situation, here's a funny for you:

"It was quite boring to participate in an election with one candidate from one party, so the turnout was very low. That is, until the local officials hit upon the idea of offering free drinks in return for a vote. This inspired the electorate to become very interested in politics. "  -- Author of GhostTown (Chernobyl, Russia)

i like the above quote you posted, MCT.

In memory of a genius. Part 1

There are 10^{11} stars in the galaxy. That used to be a _huge_ number.
But it's only a hundred billion. It's less than the national deficit! We used to call them astronomical numbers. Now we should call them economical numbers.

random, pissed off at something/someone, and in danger of committing premeditated murder......online.........

"Dont feed the HTGTH Zombies.
I try to ignore them, but all I wanna do is smash their heads to a bloody pulp."

--random--

rofl..............that's funny............(the psychotic bit at the end I mean)

You know, I would have went with - "Don't feed the animals" - and been perfectly satisfied with the fact that only myself would 'get' the reference and actually understand the context of that reference.

Oh well.......................that's just me..........you see I try and avoid emotionally charged and spontaneous/knee-jerk reactions...............but it's hard as I Am Human And Prone To Imperfection.....................

Just some friendly advice.............. ok

~MCT~ "take that proverbial step back"

EDIT: I just realized that your sig (you have done this in the past yes) just may be a quote of someone else......

 Shocked.................oops...........

How embarassing............ Embarrassed.............I missed an angle........

Plus I can't spell embarrasing................... Wink

You know, I would have went with - "Don't feed the animals" - and been perfectly satisfied with the fact that only myself would 'get' the reference and actually understand the context of that reference.

Is that how to interpret your sig as well?  It's aimed at the optimistic fucks?

This is my own sig, written in a fit of anger.  I actually made the mistake of reading a Zombie post and it nearly killed me.  Zombie posts are characterized by their infuriatingly long, Dickensian run-on sentences that babble incoherently about perfectionism, the 'second coming', atrocious grammar/spelling, lack of reading comprehension, delusions of grandeur, and if you dont agree with them then you'll be branded a "hater" and told to click the 'x' on your window...

Now you're probably laughing at me because I got upset over a stupid message board post. Incidentally, you rarely post outside of the Off Topic section.  What's the deal?

...And now onto my quote, also dedicated to optimists:

"The first principle is that you must not fool yourself - and you are the easiest person to fool."

-- Richard Feynman   (and no, he's not joking...  Tongue)

First and foremost, it's little more than verbal masturbation on my part.

Secondly, whatever interpretation you wish to stamp on it is fine by me.

Predominantly however, as an interpretation, I suppose it indeed is 'aimed at the optimistic fucks'. Cheesy

I actually made the mistake of reading a Zombie post and it nearly killed me.

You should get that checked out...........

So............you like Dickens?

Now you're probably laughing at me because I got upset over a stupid message board post.

I laugh at many things, and many people, at many times. In this case however, laugh I did not, as I empathize more than you may know.....................

Incidentally, you rarely post outside of the Off Topic section.  What's the deal?

The deal is:

- The GNR section is saturated with a whole lot convoluted bullshit, from a whole lot of self-absorbed Internet pedants. Consequently, I know all I need to know about GNR, and I need not engage in monkey-brained 'discussions' about whether or not Axl is holding out on CD because he has an alien love child.

I don't play the 'rumor' game, nor do care about who knows what in the GNR world. Unless it's posted news by J, or someone posts an interesting article, or there is a legitimately interesting topic being discussed by legitimately interesting people, I simply can't be bothered to participate in the slightest.

Moreover, as a complete reciprocal to what you noted about me, there are people who rarely post outside of the GNR section. The difference is though, these people try and impress newbies (who understandably conglomerate in the GNR section), with their knowledge of all things GNR.

Fuck!! I could go on and on..............ANYWAY.......those people are just a BORE...........

- The rest of the board I don't find that interesting. Certain topics catch my eye, but I just can't be bothered to delve with reckless abandon into most of them, as I get my intellectual stimulation elsewhere.

That being said, I should like to state that the jungle is my playground of sorts. It's where I have a little fun. And as I believe I have told you past-tense, I've been in a board kick as of late.

"A woman is sometimes a pleasure, but a cigar is always a smoke"

--Groucho Marx--

EDIT: Also, I happen to like a few people who actively participate in the jungle...........it's like we all have an unwritten understanding that this is the place we come to hang out.............
