I CANNOT believe how many motherfuckers continue to undermine what Buckethead brought to GNR.

axls#2:
Hmm...How many songs have you heard that buckethead has recorded with Gn'r? I've heard absolutely zero...yeah he's an amazing musician, but that doesn't mean he can write a good song that is not just spoken-word. I'm not dissing buckethead, because it's axl's fault, he seems to have gotten fed up with all the waiting, i'm sure the others have been fed up for awhile also. And don't let stinson's company line fool you, i'm pretty sure he want's out too. And this is sad, because i was very excited to see buckethead live again.

anyhow I wonder what they plan on doing with his parts? since he is basically a session musician do you think maybe they will still keep all of his music and just have someone else play it on tour? they already have two guitarists.  and since we haven't actually heard the cd, how do you know most of the good music hasn't been contributed by somebody else? Having not heard the cd i really don't know, so i really am not sure how I feel about losing buckethead. I will miss his awesome solo's and robot dancing but who knows how valuable he actually was? Nobody! because none of you have heard his work with axl.

Also another thing to think about is this. Maybe after last years aborted tour is when buckethead told axl he didn't want to be in the band anymore. Maybe the cd was almost ready for release, but when buckethead said he wanted out, axl started re-doing the parts all over again. We know how good gn'r can be at not disclosing information, but eventually the truth comes out. The article said he stopped recording last year. So maybe axl and gn'r did a real good job keeping it quiet, but eventually they lost their grip on it.

Anybody else hopelessly refreshing gnronline in case any news may be posted there?  hihi

If Buckethead is out, and he has been at least since late last year, there is probably a good reason he announced it now. Maybe he was told to wait until the band had somebody else to replace him, so they can issue a statement confirming his departure and at the same time announcing their new guitarist.

Funny though how rumors we thought were pure BS for the past months turned out to be true... Maybe Axl is really having guitar lessons to play the 3rd guitar himself  nervous

If Buckethead is gone, do they really need to replace him?  They still got 2 very capable guitar players.

If you want to wait for this to be made official by the band, then I'm afraid that you're going to be waiting a long time.  Clearly they are going to sit on their hands and say nothing until they have something positive to report (and that could be a long wait).

This basically puts any chance of CD's release in the toilet and it's just waiting to be flushed by 100% confirmation by someone in the Buckethead camp.

Axl has ruined Guns N' Roses all over again.

Axl has only ONE remaining choice left, its the choice he should have made at the beginning 10 years ago,

The imense pressure he is feeling in trying to create a "perfect" record is that it CANT be done,

This pressure stems from a band he USED to be in, it was called "guns n roses"
The greatness that GNR acheived as a " band " can only be created by a "band" and not by college boy employees.

Until axl realises that he is NOT guns n roses he will never succeed. NEVER.

The choice and the ONLY choice he is left with is to change the name of his band which he should have done in the first place.
If this was done as it should have been, then axl would have released CD a loooooooooooong time ago, along with a few more records probably.

And you know what the best thing to have happened if he had decided to NOT use the GNR name, its that GUNS N ROSES would have always remained what it was and what "could" have been in the future.

Now its over.

they wont replace him... they were never planning to have 2 lead guitar players.... Robin was the original replacement for Slash... Robin quit... Enter Bhead.. Robin wants back in... now Axl has 2 guitar players.. he said before "2 was never the intention"

Give some credit and some thanks to Robin people... he has been there just as long as Tommy Stinson has.... but still fans bag on Robin...  I love Robin and Tommy for sticking with the band....

your probably right, but i am still curious to hear what he's been doing the last 10 years. But axl is axl...maybe all of this news lately will actually spark some interest from media outlets and maybe some one will give us some info about whatever the fuck is going on. It would be nice to see mtv or rollingstone do some good digging, but they probably think what's the point? and maybe axl is happy with where he's at right now and doesn't really care about being a big time rockstar. But then I kinda wonder about the Round 1 comment at the vma's...And maybe he does read these boards and has lost confidence because of how some people like to talk about him, not saying it's unfair but he could actually think "fuck them" because some people here are pretty hard on axl, but does he deserve it? i don't know, im just asking the question, it's real hard to be positive when you are a fan of gn'r and i'm usually negative but that's because there is not really ever anything positive going on. No communication whatsoever with fans.

Hey maybe instead of these petititons we've been doing lately, we could flood rollingstone and mtv with e-mails urging them to do an exclusive report on gn'r. It's been awhile since rollingstone did an article on gn'r and basically most of the information we know about chinese democracy came from that report.

I'll reiterate my post from earlier in the week....The train goes off the rails for me here if this is true...Brain wil follow out the door, no question....I can't wait for the third deathstar to be rebuilt.....This board is still my online family, and I'm of course gonna stay around to see the upcoming developments, but this just sinks my heart to see history repeat itself, only to be a powerless bystander...

Ok. Response from management about Buckethead

"He has a contract"

so, he wants out but Axl won't let him? Bucket should just say to Axl, assuming he likes the stuff they've recorded, release the fucking album by X date or i'm out. Even with a contract, it's not like they can force the dude to get up on stage and play killer guitar solo's....

if gnr can survive losing slash they will survive losing buckethead

only thing is now will buckets parts be erased? that means more delays!

maybe bucket is just on hiatus till axl feels like releasing cd then will be back

if all themusic is done he might just leave till axl finishes the vocals then rejoin when axl decides to get his shit together
