I think it was the band because Axl wanted to keep them together but he wanted to change there style of music and they didn't and left Axl but Axl still has a part of the spilt they could of easily over comed this but what does it matter we have a GN'R and VR

I just think they got to big. GNR was never ment to be an arena-size band. And from the beginning they where like a bomb destined to explode - that was also what made them so great. The fire and energi. The diffences was what made the band great, but also what breaked it up.

But if i had to choose one of the mentioned i must say Axl. As someone said, when izzy left it was the beginning of the end. Same if Axl, Slash or Duff had left. Maybe they could have kept the together if Izzy stayed and Axl just got a grip, but I don`t think they would ever made as great albums again - it was over.

Axl wanted to get more modern sounding and the others didn`t. I`m not to say what would have been the right desicion but they where like 3 (slash, duff and matt) against one - why did he had to have his way? and not the others?

Maybe this is the best way? Velvet Revolver makes som kick-ass rock (not as great as GNR but still fucking great) and we can all hope that Axl comes out with a good album someday (just wish he wouldn`t use the GNR name, but hey thats just me)

The main gripe i have with Axl at the moment is the use of the GNR name.

Once an official member has left they where replaced at once pretty much.
If Slash n' Duff thought it was Guns n' Roses after they fired Steven n' then after Izzy left, what in the fuck makes them think its not gonna be Guns n' Roses without them.
Thats where they made the mistake of all their bashing today in interviews saying its NOT GNR, to me that sounds like there saying they were more GNR then anyone, sounds stuck up to me.
im off topic alittle but the members who left the band are the one's who killed it, not Axl.

I understand it still might be wrong to alote of people but its for the right reasons and thanx Axl for staying strong mate

Axl broke them up. I think he got into drugs(started smoking pot ) and the rest of the band could not handle it.
Actually I think V.R. ROCKS meanwhile Axl was last seen in the unemployment line.

Remember the only reason Axl got the rights to the name is cause he refused to go on stage unless the others signed over the name... oh yeah what a great guy...the others are such idiots, thinking bout the fans and wanting to play music....bastards

About Slash and Duff thinking it was still GNR after Izzy and Steven left, well they where still 3 members of the original lineup wasn`t they.. now there`s one..if popcorn called his band GNR would that be ok with you? he don`t have the legal rights but morally he has the same rigths as axl

Well when Steve left I believe GNR was Better. I hate steven... keeep touring and Ripping off Axl......

I think IZZY was the key. He might not of been the best guitarist on stage but his WRITTING was unmatched.

To me it's  Slash and Duff and Izzy. Especially Slash. The reason is simple. They fucking left GNR. In my opinion it is like a family. What do you do when there is a disagreement or a problem in the family? you have patience and try to solve things. Leaving is the easiest way.
If they have stayed Axl couldn't have control of GNR and do what he wanted. I think with time they will have settled their differences.
They just fucking left and i take no fucking sorry from slash. What did he do musically after he left except now with VR. Nothing Fucking nothing having signifficance. Why he didn't stay in GNR and have fucking projects!!!!. Fuck. Nobody drove them out. They wanted to leave!!!

If they have stayed and then AXL FIRED THEM Then He would have been the fucking reason for the split and the asshole. I am sure AXL would have never fired any Original Member on His own. With Steven it was a collective decision

On topic, What Clinton, Fuckin? Gunner and GNROSAS said is the fact we can get from what they say but why they left?  
Purhaps No 11 and possibly they?d finished their role in GNR.
