LET ME START WITH THIS...

HOOKERS & BLOW AND DIZZY KICKED SOME MAJOR BUTT TONIGHT.  I MUST SAY IT WAS THE BEST CONCERT.  IT WAS FUN, ENERGENIC, IT WAS JUST GREAT.  PUT IT THAT WAY.  I SUGGEST SEEING THEM THE FIRST CHANCE YOU GET!  I'M GOING OUT OF MY WAY TO SEE THEM AGAIN.  THEY WERE THAT GOOD AND FUN.

THE BAND ROCKED AWAY WITH GNR FAVORITES LIKE...

PATIENCE
BAD OBESSION
USED TO LOVE HER
IT'S SO EASY

THEY ROCKED AWAY WITH ALL KINDS OF OTHER CLASSIC ROCK FAVORITES.  THE BAND WAS FANTASTIC.

DIZZY WAS ASKED ABOUT THE CD.  HE SAID IT WILL BE COMING OUT SOON, VERY SOON.  HE SOUNDED TRUTHFUL AND SERIOUS IF THAT MEANS ANYTHING TO YOU GUYS.  BUCKETHEAD WAS BROUGHT UP.  HE SAID HE DEF QUIT, YADDA YADDA.  HE ALSO SAID BUCKETHEAD WAS A FUNNY GUY AND ALL.  DIZZY ALSO MENTIONED ABOUT COMING BACK TO HARTFORD... BUT DIDNT EXACTLY MENTION AS GNR OR HOOKERS & BLOW.

I WAS ABLE TO HANG OUT WITH DIZZY & THE BAND AFTER THE CONCERT.  AS THE VENUE'S SECURITY GUARDS WERE KICKING EVERYONE OUT RIGHT AFTER THE CONCERT, MY GIRLFRIEND WAS WAITING FOR DIZZY TO COME BACK OUT AS LONG AS SHE COULD.  THE DRUMMER'S MOM WAS NEXT TO HER AND ASKED HER IF SHE WAS WAITING FOR DIZZY.  OF COURSE MY GIRLFRIEND SAID YES.  WELL, THE MOTHER GOT DIZZY TO COME BACK OUT THROUGH HER SON, THE DRUMMER.  DIZZY CAME OUT ALONG WITH SOME OF THE BAND MEMBERS.  WE ALL WENT IN THE HALL (ME, MY GIRLFRIEND, DIZZY, THE DRUMMER, ONE OF THE GUITARISTS, AND FEW PERSONAL FRIENDS OF THE BAND) AND TOOK PICTURES.  THEN DIZZY LEFT BUT MY GIRLFRIEND DIDN'T GET A PICTURE WITH DIZZY YET.  SO THEN THE DRUMMER BROUGHT US DOWNSTAIRS (AFTER ASKING THE SECURITY GUARDS IF IT WAS ALRIGHT, HUH WHAT A PAIN THAT WAS) BELOW THE VENUE WHERE THE BANDS HANG OUT.  DOWN THERE WE HUNG OUT WITH DIZZY AND MORE OF THE BAND FOR ABOUT 20-30 MINUTES.  THEY WERE GREAT GUYS.  GAVE US DRUM STICKS, AUTOGRAPHED HER SHIRT, TOOK SOME MORE PICTURES.  IT WAS GREAT.  IT WAS ONE OF THOSE THINGS THAT NO ONE ELSE THERE GOT TO DO.  IT WAS FUN.  DIZZY AND THE GUYS ARE GREAT!!

I'LL HAVE PICTURES TOMORROW TO SHARE WITH YOU GUYS THAT COULD BE THERE.  THAT REMINDS ME...

NOT MANY SHOWED UP TO THE CONCERT.  I GUESS ALMOST 300 TICKETS WERE SOLD BUT I CAN TELL YOU... NO 300 WERE THERE.  A LOCAL NEWSPAPER SAID IT WAS ON 6/8/04 AND NOT 6/6/04.  THEY KIND OF SCREWED DIZZY.  DIZZY JOKED ABOUT EVERYONE SHOWING UP ON 6/8/04 AND THINKING HE CANCELLED THE SHOW.  GET THE JOKE?

GUYS THATS ABOUT ALL I CAN REMEMBER OFF HAND.  SO MUCH HAPPENED AND I WAS SO EXCITED AND SO MUCH TO TAKE IT.  I HOPE I PASSED SOME JOY ON TO THOSE WHO MISSED THE SHOW OR SPARKED SOME INTEREST TO SEE THEM.  I SUGGEST TO GO AND PROMISE A GREAT TIME.  GOODNIGHT EVERYONE.

I went to 3 of the shows this weekend Hard Rock Boston, Attleboro, and the one tonight.  I have to say that tonights was probably the best one.  Dizzy ran around like an idiot with the guitar.  Both Matt and Curt fell down (guitarist and bass players respectively) and Troy was attacked by his own drumstick  rofl

Even though there weren't too many people there, I agree it was a kickass show.  The band members thought so too Grin

 rofl

Man i love GNR -  the only band where the band memembers have less idea about the music, release dates or even who's in the band than we do!!!!!!

Do u think Dizzy comes to HTGTH to find the latest GNR news? hihi ''Ah - so thats what we're doing!''

As much as i respect Dizzy, because he tries in vain to give us updates, it aint hapening is it...

I mean didnt he say that the album would be out"soon" 17 years ago?

Im fast lossing the belief in the word soon...in fact im never gonna use that word again!

I'm gonna remind everyone that after Philly we didn't even think it was ever coming out.

Soons not the word... (Axl at the 2002 VMAs)
sooner than later... (who said that I remember it - but not who said it)
soon.. soon... sonn..?
Dizzy (Feb 04): Its not Axl holding things up
then after Buckethead left... again we were thinking" Auuugh!!!!  Aaack!!!
March 30, 2004- Axl: to be announced in a few months
Fortus to Sal (AxlDemocracy)at VR show....  said something about Fall...
Dzzy: very soon...

On 12/7/02 I woulda give a lot to just know it was still gonna happen.
As it stands today - I feel a hell of a lot better about it coming out...
eh... sooner or later  Grin

You know, we wait for this album in 6 months increments.  yes
Its okay... you know... like I've said before.... life goes on... In the meantime I'm having a blast hanging out with my fellow gunners on-line (just like we did at the vegas shows - hanging out on line waiting for the show)

Oh SHIT!!!!! I better get to my local record store ASAP if Richard and Dizzy say its coming soon..... I mean they totally have a clue as to what is going on in/with this band!!!!!!!!

In all seriousness I think its great DIzzy tries to help the fans out like that but it just makes him look bad as in another year/18 months we'll be using this as another example of how he was wrong about when the CD is coming out and he has no clue.

Ask him if they've got a replacment for Buckethead yet rather than CD questions to which he'll only say "very soon". Smiley
