Scott wants to be like Axl for Halloween. And have halloween everyday.
Face it VR said they didn't want a problem maker in the lead singer spot. They waste alot of good singers times and hopes and Picked Scott from the beginging. They had scott picked all along and just used the whole "looking for a singer" forum like Limp Bizkit used "looking for a new guitarist" forum, scam for free publicity and picked someone else completely.

Snakepit albums didnt sell because they had horrible singers. Slash, Matt, and Duff miss the limelight. They want to be the biggest Fucking band on earth.

Will I see VR? Yes. I will I love the sound of Slash's guitars

Will I buy the album? Yes why? Because Axl hasnt delivered to us yet.

I have been waiting for years to see what he has. From the glimpses I got He might have a hell of an album on his hands? But we wont know until he dies and Geffen pushes his cds out.

Anyone notice how much slither sounds like most STP songs.?

Hell I love my guns' more then any band out there. They had an incredible sound. But those days are gone.

I do wish VR to do well. I hope there cd does go #1. It would be good for Rock in general. And hell VR is the best GnR coverband on the market.

PS.. does anyone else agree that Coked' out Steven Adler is living up his 15 mins of fame in GnR a little much. Come on Addler's Appetite? I thought Ringo Starr and his all star band was horrible but my god, Steven takes the cake. Playing and Ruining AFD classics.

BOYCOTT Addler's Appetite......

I agree that Axl leeds the best GNR cover band, but just because I don't count VR in GNR cover bands.... If I did they would be the best, because their GNR covers are much better than new GNR's...  Smiley

And hell VR is the best GnR coverband on the market.

If they were a coverband, that might be a compliment.  But since they're not, it's moot.  They are their own band who just happen to play a few cover tunes here and there.  And I concur with the Axl cover band sentiment expressed by the guys above.

Nope.  He'll be recording a new album with his band soon, and I'll be buying it and seeing them live whenever they tour again.  He was only temporarily playing the AFD songs just to get himself and his band in the hook of touring and playing live together.

May i ask what the fuck is wrong with Adler's Appetite?

And i wouldn't call it 15 mins of fame he was an original member, that helped define their sound from the very beggining and was around for about 3 years of their fame.

I think VR is the better cover band. I rather see them play the old songs before they play it perfectly, the way it's meant to be played. The only difference is no Axl. With the new gnr Axl doesn't even sound like Axl himself, Finck & Fortus strew up solos and buckethead ruins solos that are suppose to be played with a lot of emotion. I love the new band's work on madagascar and blues but i hate the fact that they covered old gnr for 2 years Angry

Addler was a coke'd out drummer who barely can be considered a help to AFD. He plays almost the complete AFD record in concert. Both AXL and SLASH agreed he was too much of a coke whore. Just because you were an original doesnt mean you need to live off AFD when you are a old Coke'd out washed up, never been looser.

Addler Sucks.

Steven Adler was like Nikki Sixx- a man who made a hell of a lot of money at a very young age. And when you got all that in front of you, and you're in the world's biggest and frankly most uncontrollable entity in rock music, you're gonna experiment.

And that's where it all goes downhill, and sadly for Steven, it kept going.

The dude's got himself straight, has a hell of a band, sounds as good as ever.

And to say that Adler's contribution can 'barely be considered a help to AFD', you're a fool. Adler and Izzy made GN'R swing. Sorum and Clarke couldn't. Hell, even Sorum and Izzy couldn't. He was an individual talent who was uniquely attuned to the guys around him.

Steven rocks.  ok

Even in Steven's most drug-addled, coked up days, I bet he could spell better than you can.

As others have said, it was Steven's swing that made those songs what they were.  If you actually listen to the AFD songs and look past Axl's vocals or Slash's guitar, it's Steven who is carrying the rhythm of those songs.  As a certain former GNR member once said....

"Adler's drumming made the band.  His sense of swing was the push and pull that gave those songs their feel.  Afterwards, nothing worked."  ---Izzy Stradlin

But no worries, I take no offense to your insults towards Steven.  Because you're just another in the long line of lame asses who dislikes Steven because he used to use drugs.  I have yet to meet ONE Steven hater who gives any other reason than "because he was an addict".

Adler

1 d.

First things first. Have you ever seen Adler's Appetite? If you did, you'd realize that Adler is the man. No one can play the drums on those songs like him, not even Matt Sorum.

Very perceptive.
