Very impressive album, way beyond anything I expected at this point in their career. Rock or Bust had some cool riffs but felt undercooked. This one has at least two genuine classics IMO: Through the Mists of Time and Kick You When You're Down. I'd put those two up with the best stuff since since For those About to Rock; Who Made Who, Thunderstruck, Moneytalks, Sink the Pink, Heatseeker...

I love when he screams "As you're slippin' down the waaaaaaaaaall"

Also the lyrics are vastly improved, which is almost certainly thanks to the producer. I also dig how he emphasized the backing vocals. Though his production otherwise leaves something to be desired, IMO. Cymbals are harsh and everything sounds very compressed and digital. Stiff Upper Lip had stellar production. I wish I could hear all of their albums done justice sonically like that.

Great write up at the link above.

The new album debuted at number one in 21 different countries! In the US alone, the album sold nearly 120,000 copies, and the majority of those were CDs! That’s awesome and very encouraging.

Love it. A beautiful song and touching video. Apparently, it was Angus' idea, too. Usually, the boys don't care too much about the video concepts.

If anyone is curious to hear Brian sing in the 1970s with his old band Geordie, the above link really showcases what a great singer he was.
