The only thing of real substance that he said was that whoever manages Slash told him there would be no press. Whether that means for now or for the entire time leading up to Coachella he wasn't clear.

He also said that whoever doubts if Steven can still play are insane.

The rest was just fluff about Izzy not wanting to commit and the idea that Richard, Frank and the keyboard players will round out the lineup ... Nothing new.

Good listen.  I think they nailed many points.  Having Izzy and Steven back would be huge.  Its not a deal breaker, but it would only be bigger with all 5.
I think his "dream scenario" of the AFD line up playing that album, Illusion middle section with CD, and end it with PC would HUGE.  Slash and Duff together with
Axl and the CD guys will be great, and get attention.  Maybe they are just making another step.  Hopefully they add in other guys including CD guys through a possible
tour.  G n R is now a legacy full of a lot of players.  The fans want to see them all.

I'm sorry but I don't really agree. There are only at most a few thousand people on the internet who really care if Robin or Tommy ever play with GNR again or not.

It's not a knock on them... just reality... Slash and Duff are back, and hopefully forever.

Thanks. Figures that he would be on team Adler.

There's no doubt, objectively Axl, Slash and Duff are the biggest names connected to Guns N Roses.

If Coachella is their first appearance, it makes sense yes. No need for promo for those concerts.

If they are contemplating new music, I think it would make sense to start dropping hints earlier.

I don?t want to see them all. Nor I think all the people attending Coachella want to see them all. Only the people who love CD want to see Robin, Buckethead, Frank, Richard, Tommy etc. Is that the big majority of fans? No by any means!

One would think they would have to do some promotion to sell tickets for a summer tour and or some kind of release.

Definitely.

For a tour only it might not be needed in the time before Coachella. In the case of any plans of releasing new music, it might be wise to start talking about it at an earlier stage to get the word out there.

Can somebody please post a transcript of the GNR related parts. I really can't stand the sound of his voice. hihi

He kinda bothers me too.  You ever notice how he continually interrupts his guests and starts talking over them.  And then...he always has to mention that "I said this from the beginning".  Yeah we get it....you were right all along, and right most of the time.  Because he's like this....it makes it hard for me to believe that he has such "great" relationships with so many rock stars.  I wouldn't be surprised if blows smoke up our asses half the time.

those are the best kind of interviewers! I want to see him do an Axl interview like that. First interview in years and you never actually get to hear his answers, just eddie talking over him.

"So what happened between you and Slash?"

"Well, we bumped into eachother one time at-"

"Bumped into eachother! And that's all it took! What an amazing connection you two must have!"

"Well actually we first started-"

"The start of something beautiful! Y'know, I knew you guys were getting back together, knew it all along. Even said so. Well ok folks, that's it for todays show. Dont forget to tune in next week for Lars Ulrich and Sebastian Bach!"

(never actually heard the guy, just kidding around)

When he did the 2006 interview it was great. And Baz was there actually. It was a pretty long show. They were not expecting Axl. Baz said on the air he got a text from Axl and that he was coming to the show.

If I remember correctly then NY Mets catcher Mike Piazza called in to clarify the I.R.S. leak

One thing Eddie had wrong when saying it's just Slash and Duff joining the new lineup and that they've never said anything about it being a "reunion"  they failed to mention that gunsnroses.com has gone to the old logo and virtually all the merch is all old school now.

I think Axl was free to use that logo regardless of Slash and Duff coming back though.

They did use it on merch some years ago.
