Here Today...

« on: January 08, 2016, 01:13:56 PM »

I saw that Slash posted a pic on his twitter account yesterday of his guitar in what looks like a rehearsal studio.

It got me thinking, i sure hope that someone is videotaping the rehearsals, meetings, etc. leading up to the festival. Best case scenario, this footage could be put together in some form of documentary in the future. Worst case scenario, the footage gets locked away in Axl's infamous vault next to the footage that was recorded for the planned UYI tour documentary.

What do you think the odds are that anyone has given any thought to filming what occurs over the next few months. Do you think the guys would be in favor or against having everything filmed?

If they want to it would make a nice documentary.  As we've seen in their career they really havent milked a lot of their back catalog, or videos in the vaults.

This is history in the making, and we all want to see these behind the scenes interactions.  Blu ray this please!  but who knows maybe they are walking a little
on egg shells, and want to keep it stress free?  ie the pressure of doc crew following them around.

2 of the members of the reformed lineup (Duff and Slash) did this during the initial creation of Velvet Revolver and I believe if memory serves me right that it was a special on VH1.

Would be a cool thing to see, absolutely.

I can't imagine a better P.R. move than releasing a snippet on the website showing them all jamming or just joking around.  We would all go nuts, and rightly so.

If anyone watched Sonic Highway on HBO, you know there's interest in this type of documentary.  Add in the fact it's the first time Axl and Slash are back in a studio in 20+ years and that just amplifies the interest.  Printing money.

I would be absolutely awesome, and a great way to build buzz.  Then again, it goes against the cloak and daggers routine that's worked out so swimmingly over the past 15 years. Hopefully the "iron curtain" is lifted a bit in light of Slash & Duff's return.

Is not very smart not capturing this historic moment.

To finish Part III of the trilogy.

Yeah post them performing one or two songs, even if Axl isn't there. Would be killer.

These guys rehearsing just like NIN did with The Slip.
