But it's still kinda naive to say "if you'd see it you'd like it" just because one has a different opinion.

No thanks. Don't need it, don't want it. Never been a fan of it. Las Vegas belongs to Celine Dion and Siegfried & Roy.
Siegfried and Roy haven't performed in years since Roy was attacked by the tiger.

I know.

Laughable.

If you had actually attended either residency you might have a different perspective. Cheesy

If I was in Las Vegas and there was a REUNION residency I would probably attend one show. and it surely would be a blast because I'd like to see Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy and Steven together on stage. they wrote great songs, so how could I not enjoy them playing my favourite tunes. but that doesn't mean I like the idea of a reunion residency, even though it might have advantages for the band itself (no traveling while cashing in).

and now please get off my back. I consider you a furuncle and better removed, avoided and the less I hear of you, the better.

The idea behind a message board, is that someone reads your post and replies to you -Duh Cheesy

I could honestly care less what some anonymous poster on the internet thinks about me, I don't give one happy fuck so save your little judgments and attempted personal attacks for someone else.

Your preconceived ideas concerning Vegas are erroneous, dated, and wrong- you might have a more accurate view if you had actually attended one of the GNR residencies.

LOL at your statement about "cashing in" -musicians work, I don't know why some think they shouldn't charge for it or think they deserve the work for free.

I attended multiple shows at both, and would love for there to be a third -regardless of lineup.

Sorry, my bad, I thought little judgments and personal attacks were OK with you becasue that's what you do on a regular basis.

I'm a musicians too (not fulltime though). they shouldn't work for free. who's saying that?! I'm solely talking about a reunion residency. don't want it because it's got a touch of "cashing in" and making more than good money with as less as possible effort. my opinion. thanks a lot.

Why less effort?
Because the band and crew don't need to travel between shows?

I think a residency has the potential of a better show...Less wear and tear on the band and possibly  a higher quality overall production due to less "moving parts"...Also wouldn't it be a unique situation, as was a double album by the biggest band in the industry, for the most anticipated tour being a residency

Yes.

of course, you can put some effort into a residency by playing a vast array of songs on different nights with very seldom played songs etc, but you could do that on a regular tour too. Motley Crue had their spinning drumset on a regular tour. I don't need that either but everything is possible in the world of Guns N Roses.

I mean perhaps it's just a fun thing to do. hanging around with your bandsmates and playing some gigs. kinda like a school trip.

But somehow there is some "cash cow thing" going on. at least in my mind. just a feeling.

Yes, you can bring a big production on tour. But then you gotta pay for transporting all that gear. Obviously.
If you're staying in one pace for multiple shows, you can customize the production tot hat venue since it's not going anywhere else.

I would say a majority of tours are booked to make a profit!
If that's an issue for you, then I guess the current situation is better... Wink

But it's a special atmosphere at these things. Everybody's there for one thing. There's fans everywhere.
So even if you go alone, you don't have to sit alone sipping your Bud.... Or coffee.

Yeah, would be huge bucks for the "intimate setting experience".

How about instead of a Reunion Tour an Reunion Residency? State of Execution perhaps...I'm for any GNR lineup, thought the last was extremely strong...

I?m in Europe. So I?d rather catch them in an European Tour  Grin

Wow a hobbyist "musician", well that validates everything  hihi

I still maintain that your misgivings concerning Vegas are antiquated and not accurate.

It is great to catch multiple shows without having to travel.

The residencies are a total blast! So much fun to meet other fans, Cool GNR themed drinks and food. A girl can even got blown off by Eddie Trunk. hihi  The only real downside for me is that Las Vegas is one of the few places left in the US that allows cigarette smoking.in the casinos and hotel. I don't think I will be able to attend any more Las Vegas residencies for that reason.

hahaha, I saw that one coming years ago...  rofl you can try to ridicule me all you want but it really validates everything because I would never ever expect musicians to work for free. doesn't matter if I'm a hobbymusian who's playing little gigs. I know the effort/passion you gotta put in.
