How stupid do you have to be to post such a bad article here?

i do think there is a bit of a language barrier with HBK and his posts... nothing to be upset about

Going by GNR's proven track record of being completely unable to focus on planning/releasing an album while touring, if nothing is announced by the time they hit the stage in March, I think I can say with a degree of certainty that we can all kiss a 2014 release goodbye.

I'm done thinking about or caring about an album release for this year or anytime soon...

the odds are slim to none we all know that... and before im asked how I know that? results speak for themselves

as an Axl fan.. i hope they introduce a new song this year at the shows so I at least can watch it on you tube and I hope we get the Vegas DVD to add to my collection of GNR related stuff

Agree.  Hope high, but keep expectations low.

Oh, I believe most of us already have.

And its only January 15th.  Pretty depressing.

I honestly thought that once Guns got Chinese Democracy's release out of the way, with all of the mythical notoriety it gained. That we would see a steady flow of follow up albums, at least every 3 years or so. But it seems like the "Chinese Democracy" syndrome, is a factor that's still just as present today as it was earlier on in the 2000's.

Any other band, and some would be right to label that pessimistic.

But, then, these other bands whose names get thrown around here, Metallica, Aerosmith, U2 etc. who haven't released music in several years don't have a finished album they're hoarding and dangling over their fans heads for years on end for what is, at least by my estimation, no real good reason.

But all will  have an albums worth of music in their vaults, whether or not its up to par is another matter, as is the case with GnR, all that we've heard about is hearsay, is there really a load of album quality music (meaning that its good to go) just sitting there.

Everyone that's heard and chatted about the unreleased stuff (The General, Soul Monster, Atlas Shrugged etc.) sure thinks they're good enough.

One man's stubbornness is keeping those songs from the fans.  Whether that "one man" is Axl Rose or Jimmy Iovine remains to be seen...

Well, with all due respect, if that's the case, than this situation is even more dire than once thought.

All that time, and you came up with 14 songs?  That's it?  If that's the reality, that's a depressing state of affairs.

Guns N' Roses hint that they're planning a 2014 world tour

'Mexico + South American gigs are 'the beginning'

Guns N' Roses have hinted that they're planning a huge world tour for 2014, starting with dates in Mexico and South America.

Announcing a string of shows on their official website, the 'Paradise City' rockers said that their South American dates were just the start of something much more expansive.

"In 2014 Guns N? Roses are setting up tour plans, beginning with a return to South America for multiple dates in the spring," they said.

This suggests that a much wider world tour could follow. Their South American and Mexican tour dates are as follows:

Sunday, March 16 Mexico City, Mexico
Thursday, March 20 Rio De Janeiro, Brazil
Saturday, March 22 Belo Horizonte, Brazil
Tuesday, March 25 Brasilia, Brazil
Friday, March 28 Sao Paulo, Brazil
Sunday, March 30 Curitiba, Brazil
Tuesday, April 1 Florianapolis, Brazil
Thursday, April 3 Porto Alegre, Brazil
Sunday, April 6 Buenos Aires, Argentina
Wednesday, April 9 Asuncion, Paraguay

The band are apparently hoping to release their upcoming new album later this year too, which would be their seventh studio LP.

The band's guitarist Richard Fortus confirmed to Noise11.com last year that the band have spent a lot of time in the studio working on the new album, and that most of the songs are already completed.

He went on to say that while most of the album is done, it won't be released this year - but did say that it might be released in 2014.

Fans would be lucky if so - the band's last album Chinese Democracy took them 10 years to make and was released 15 years after the band's previous studio album, The Spaghetti Incident?. It was also the most expensive album ever produced at the time, as it cost ?8.4million for Guns N' Roses to make.
