Here Today...

--alt version of It's a Drag (Axl and band--record this, Axl you could kill on this, esp. w/ Richard, Diz, and DJ adding parts)

--New song called "Spork My Ears" (I assume a song leftover from One Man Mutiny sessions)

--And if you search Spotify by "Tommy Stinson" , then select him under the "Artist" tab, if you scroll down to the bottom you will find his version of The Rolling Stones "You Can't Always Get What you Want" which aired on Showtime's "Californication" and was a really kick ass cover.

--Bonus:  I would suggest all do a search of Johnny Thunders and add the album "So Alone" and the three disc remix disc "You Can't Put Your Arms Around a Memory"

Great job GN'R participating in Neil Young's charity event--what a positive, cool, thing to do!  Will we get a Jack White and Axl collaboration (fingers crossed)??!!  Or Axl singing with Gary Clark Jr. ("Don't Owe U a Thing" rox....one of the best young artists/guitarists on the scene--check him out)!

Or Axl playing piano on "After the Gold Rush" with Neil, or for that matter any collaboration onstage with Neil ("Keep on Rocking in Free World", "Love is a Rose", "Cinnamon Girl", "Heart of Gold", "Old Man", or "Ohio" and dedicate it to the voter suppression going on there in 2012...which is mind-boggling and deserves some attention, esp. considering the USA passed the Voter Rights Act in 1964).  On that note, I think the lyrics of "Civil War" are taking on a new meaning these days, and quite relevant.  In scary ways the song's lyrics were prophetic as far as The United States is concerned (not in revolutionary or literal war terms, but in real legal wars trying to suppress the voice people from the Big Guy's greed).  But that is for a whole other post--check out the new Tommy stuff!

Peace  beer

That is the same version of It's A Drag as the album version. Spork My Ears is the B-Side to the 7" Single. The Stones cover has been on Spotify for a long while.

You Can't Always Get What You Want was featured in an episode of Californication and was released on iTunes some time ago...

Great cover!
