Just for info on what time Id need to get to a UK gig by to catch start of show ..is Axl still going on stage very late or have recent shows started earlier? anyone know? in 06 I experienced the 2 extremes, early onstage (the one and only time?) and very late with (some would say) bad vibes. on cd tour he didnt seem quite so late so has anything changed??

Manchester 2010 was approx 22.40 start time......but every show varies
i suggest getting to the venue in advance of the stated start time but expect to wait
also re-arrange any work etc on the following day
Uk shows dont start til end of may so you have plenty of time to arrange plans  yes
last thing you want to do is turn up expecting a 22.30 start time and find the band are half way through the set
but also expect the show to start late and be prepared for the wait
but most of all ..........enjoy the show headbanger

Starting times still varies a little but my overall perception is that they go on stage around 11pm. Most of the time about 60-75 minutes after the last opening act. However I have been to gigs where they didn't start until after midnight and one where they started exactly at 8pm. So, yeah do what Wadey says: come early and take the next day off. At least, that's what I do :-)
