Do you think he could do the show?

I was listening to the Eddie Trunk '06 interview with Bach, Scott, Chris and Axl ... very cool! I sent a twitter message to Eddie and he replied:

@EddieTrunk @zangbones That would be up to Axl

So, what do you think??

Eddie has said he gets questions all the time about why hasn't this one or that one ever been on the show, and he's said they've reached out to basically everyone you could imagine.  Just because they want them on the show, doesn't mean it'll happen.  It's up to the artist.  IF they want to be on the show and if it fits into their hectic schedules.

I'd love to see it too, but Axl doesn't seem to love doing press, interviews, etc. so it sort of seems like a long shot.  Just like him dropping in on Eddie's radio show was a huge surprise.  Also, most of the time when people go on these shows they have something to promote.  Maybe if they plan on putting another album out it might be more likely.

Axl is above that.  He doesn't need some dumbass like Jim Florentine making unfunny jokes and asking about GNR and a reunion.  It would be cool to hear Axl's comments on certain topics.   Yea the show is ok, but a little too campy.

I don't think those guys would try to cut up jokes about reunion and stuff! they are all cool guys and respect the hell out of Axl and GnR!!

il be honest the radio interview with Eddie, Axl, Baz,Don,Scott Ian & Chris Jeraco was the reason i started listen and watching Eddie Trunk!
and if they tv show with Axl was as cool as this interview how could a GnR fan  not love to see him on there ! beer

Why are people putting misleading Topic titles in this section? You could have put it in a question format, or at least thrown a question mark at the end of the damn thing

Jim Florentine is actually a big GNR fan, and that includes being a fan of current day GNR.  He's the ONE guy on the show that hasn't had a bad thing to say about "Chinese Democracy".  So unfunny or not, he's the biggest fan on that show.

Hey man I love the idea! This is just the second post this week that was very misleading (the other seems to have been deleted)

But yeah, would be a great way to get Axl exposed to the right audience  peace

So... can we do something about it?

Eddie announced his guests for the new season about a month ago. they were filming the last couple weeks in July for the new season that starts august 20. i knew it was a long shot, but i was really hoping Axl would be one of the guests. with shows coming up in october and potentially more after that, it would have been perfect timing. and we know Axl likes Eddie, so not that i'm expecting any interviews but if Axl were to do any, i believe Eddie would be at or near the top of the list of people Axl would sit down with.

anyone read Eddie Trunk's book? he describes the night Axl came to the studio in 2006. it's really cool cause he describes well how insane it was. he mentions that many big artists from metallica to aerosmith have asked Eddie about that night.

but the real interesting part was that Eddie said he got a call from Axl's manager the following weekend saying that Axl was at the airport on the way to Europe and he wanted to talk about a few more things on the air immediately. Eddie wasn't on the air and they asked Axl's management if he would talk with another DJ, but Axl would only do it with Eddie. so Eddie immediately made plans to interrupt the other DJ's show to interview Axl. But by the time they got it all sorted out, Axl had boarded his plane. Eddie has not reconnected with Axl since then and has no idea what he wanted to talk about.

and yes, those guys are big GnR fans. Eddie always gives his honest opinion on all topics. he said CD is not raw and doesn't have the sound of AFD. but he included 3 songs from the album in his top 16 GnR songs.
