i have alot of color and i havent had any problems.. some of them are over 10 years old too... ive retouched a few not very often.  but most artists wont charge much to retouch or re color a tattoo.. esp if u can keep the same artist...

its no so much the ink, altho darker ink does last alot longer, with the quality of the inks today almost all the colors stay vibrant for years.. except yellows.. thats the only color i have ever had to retouch was yellow... but its hard to see how the yellow looks when your getting the ink since the blood mixes with the ink, its hard to gague where he may have missed or not gone deep enough.. It  also depends on how deep the artist goes and how heavy of a hand he has. 

be sure to post a pic after you get it.

axls wrist tattoo looks like it probably has several skulls, joined up by something else, cant make it out. there is a big shot of him on the download  programme cover, my scanner is bust so i can upload, sorry
