ok, this is prob obvious, but i just can't put my finger on the riff they play at the end of nothing to say at rock am ring? its really bugging me as i know i should know!

It's the same riff as the beginning of Nothing to Say right? Just extended out a bit at the end.

What part are you talking about?
The ending of the song is just them jamming out an extended version of the intro of Nothing To Say.
