I am convinced that uni students are some of the most awkward, argument-seeking bastards there are. I was at a meeting the other day because last month, one of our exams got re-scheduled due to all the snow and there was a little bit of confusion about the alternative arrangements that were being made. The original exam was to happen on a Friday and got changed in the end to the following Tuesday I think. Anyway, they called a meeting basically to apologise for the confusion (there was also a big move to a new campus going on at the time which didn't help communication) and that our marks wouldn't be affected and I think most of the people who turned up to it were there just to moan. There's all sorts of things going on in the world like poverty and floods and people are going on about having panic attacks and shit because of the stress of an exam that got re-scheduled by less than a fucking week? Get over it already....

Oh yeah, and as for the ones rioting because of rising tuition fees, well done. I'm sure the government are going to look at a bunch of students smashing shit up and think "Yeah they're right, we shouldn't raise them."

I don't why it bothers me, but when people ask me about how "college" is going, I really wanna tell them I go to a university, not a college. AAAARGH.

I will let it go in this case however. It's fine for the most part, it's just when people start complaining about things that to me, aren't really that big of a deal when it's annoying. Hopefully I won't encounter these people again very much....

I think the point he was trying to make is you're not going to get to the top by complaining about your life on a message board day in and day out. Here's my advice: If you wanna get to the top, then get off your ass and do it. Stop talking about it. Actions speak louder than words.
