I couldn't stand this song until I heard it live and now it kicks ass with Axl's old sounding voice.
Good to hear you have a positive change of opinion, "now that's what I'm talkin about"!

This is one of the songs i liked the final version better, because of the power and the sound effects put into the drums and bass. Its awesome, makes me remind a bit of Faith no more and Led Zeppelin mixed.

This song is such a fun song, with a serious underlining message.

It's also a song that I can instantly think of a video idea for. What I'm thinking is lots of space and nuclear shots, with maybe snippets of 2 lovers in a natured setting. Sort of like a romantic galactic feel, a really nice concept, and the music fits the lyrics perfectly.

And the message in this song I feel is to enjoy life to it's fullest and to follow your dreams, as lifes too short.  Smiley

I actually did really like this song when i first listened to CD, but after hearing it live i fucking love it! The live version is much heavier, and now when  i listen to the studio version i crank it up more than i used to and kinda picture what i heard in concert. Great fuckin song. A lot of non-GnR fans i've plyed "Chinese Democracy" for really seem to dig this song. Especially if they're stoned. Definitely one of the better stoner songs on the cd smoking

I really like the sound of Axl's voice in this song. One of the highlights in Chinese Democracy.. I really dig the new straight rock edit/remix too.  Cool

Could someone tell me whos playing the guitar in If the world , the acoustic one that sounds a bit like the one Slash used to play at the end of Double talkin jive , i always thought Bucket but just had another look in the CD booklet it says Buckethead acoustic guitar Chris Pitman 12 string guitar,  so thats got me wondering which is which? if it is Bucket then what is the 12 string guitar parts in ITW.
Any guitarists out there care to explain please

The 12-string guitar is the repetiive riff (the first thing to be heard in the intro).

The flamenco-style accoustic (including the little solos) is Buckethead's work.
