KISS had an excellent 1 (Metallica's was ok), I think GN'R could pull it off..

I dont know about Kiss but Metallica released a record called 'S & M'  which was their concert with an orchestra. Some songs were actually ok, but not a big metallica fan

I think the KISS Symphony Alive IV is brilliant.

Here's Love Gun from that show

I didn't mind S & M, but this would not be for me. I would prefer the opposite direction - strip it down to the basics.

I can ABSOLUTELY see it.  GNR has always had more orchestral tendencies than Metallica (for example).

Then again, with a more metal act it adds a dimension in a way it might not to GNR.

When we've heard all the stuff they've been working on for the last 10 years or so, maybe then I'll be interested in hearing reinterpretations of the old stuff.

Don't agree, I think it's totally trendy and that would bother a lot of fans. .. And PLEASE stop referring the song "MADAGASCAR" as "Maddy", it's really annoying.

I would love this. I'm not really a Metallica fan, but loved S&M, also I think it was about a year ago Serj Tankian performed his whole solo album with a live orchestra....amazing. I think Gn'R songs would fit great.

Yes, in fact, I've already seen him performing November Rain with an orchestra, and some of the new stuff has orchestral effects on them.

November Rain, This I Love and Madagascar could be perfect options.

I cant imagine right now other posibilities, but hey: I would have never imagined ''For Whom The Bell Tolls'' or ''Detroit Rock City'' or ''Dream On'' with a symphonic orchestra and they happened and they absolutely rocked.

Some GNR songs already have too much orchestra... especially some of the Chinese Democracy tracks... why do we need more... like i said , i think it would suck... and i really would prefer the songs on CD without the orchestra...

It can be called Black Frog Bedtime.
