Here is another Myles interview from yesterday with T-Rex.

Part 1: (Mostly AB and Solo stuff)

Part 2: (Mostly Slash stuff)

I can see why Slash likes him so much watching the interviews with him. He is a quiet, humble, small-town guy who brings alot of talent with no baggage or real issues.

It also sounds like Slash invited himself onto Myles solo album, which is a dead give away to me he must have been into what they were doing because he wanted to keep making music with him. Whether they can make it workout in the future is anyone's guess, but I hope they can figure something out as I think they have some pretty good chemistry together,

I don't know about that, but Slash thinks a lot of Myles.  From this interview with Billboard:

Slash: "he's probably the most fantastic - young, unknown rock singer I've heard in the last 20 years."

Slash has said that a few times now, but in some ways he acts like he found Myles on the woodshed or something.

The guy has been front AB since 2004, and while not a huge band they did have a Gold album in the states so its not like no one had ever heard of him before.

The other thing I am not sure Slash is aware of or not is Myles is going to be 41 years old this year. While hardly old, its not like he's 25 or something like that. To his credit though he clearly takes care of himself and his voice, so I can see why he might think he is a younger than he really is if you didn't know any better.

Yeah, he keeps referring to him as "young", he's not old, but I thought he was much younger the way Slash describes him.

And he has mentioned something similar before but I don't think used the phrase "the most fantastic in the last 20 years".

He is only 4 years younger than Slash.. He is so humble and easy going, almost too good to be true.

Wow, Myles is 41 years old? I picked him for like mid-30s or something.

In all honesty, I don't think they'll find another singer to front VR that ticks all the boxes like Myles does. He's got the range, can write good songs, has no ego, and has been around long enough to fit in with the rest of the guys.

But there must be someone in VR that doesn't agree that he should sing, otherwise, he'd be in the band by now.

Just goes to show he has a good head on his shoulders. If he wants to continue making a living as a front man letting himself go physically and not taking care of his voice are the quickest way to make that go away. You can keep your looks, voice and body in tact for the most part as you get older, it just takes more work and discipline. Clearly Myles has heeded that advice because he does look and act much younger than he is.

It's a vocally challenging setlist they play when they do a whole show (16-17 songs) and other than the 5 minute solo spot Slash does the guy is on stage going full bore the rest of the time with no issues. It's a good example for the younger whipersnappers out there that you can get old without having to succumb to being an old man if you're willing to put in the time and effort to stave off the process and take care of yourself.

Slash is even looking like he is getting his ass in shape and taking his health a little more seriously now that he quit smoking and sobered up. In one of the radio interviews I heard he mentioned how he has been exercising and watching what he eats particularly on the road so as to not balloon up, and he is starting to look better for it. Not nearly as rotund as he was at one point in the past few years.
