Here's a recent interview with Matt Sorum on The Paulie Z Show.

For part 2 of the 3 part Los Angeles series, Paulie Z and Matt Sorum, formerly of Guns and Roses and currenty of Velvet Revolver, cover everything from front-man etiquette to small Nordic towns.

At the end of the interview Matt tells Paulie Z that Dave Navarro is a fan and told Matt to check him out singing a GNR song with Camp Freddy, so Matt looked at the video on YouTube.  He then says that Slash and Duff have viewed the video as well and adds "that's all I'm going to say."  Implying that Paulie Z is in the running for Velvet Revolver's singer.

What a douche  Roll Eyes

I can't stand that rat, the interviewer wasn't coming back to his little Axl story, but Sorum had to say it.

He tells the story about something nice he did for the crew, but Matt gets his jabs in along the way, doesn't he.

Not sure if I'd want him fronting VR, he looks like a bit of a goofball on stage.

He has got good pipes, but I don't think he's the right one.

If Carrot Top and Andy Samberg had a baby would look like this guy

Once again only proves what a once in a lifetime frontman Axl is

Who's that guy?

He has a very powerful voice.

He's the frontman/lead guitarist of Z02, the band featured on IFC's "Z-Rock".

Google/youtube it, it's hysterical - great TV...

Awesome, awesome, awesome voice! But he's gotta work on his image and stage moves! He moves like a black metal singer! Gotta work on getting some sex appeal if VR isn't going to be turned into a metal band.

Am I the only one who thought that sounded like a shitty ass karaoke night vocal session? I'm sorry but that guys voice just....it doesn't WORK. He really killed YCBM for me! I mean Axl DOMINATES the track this "Paulie Z" ( horrible excuse for a stage name ) sounds horrible. He screams on mine are poor imitations I hope to god VR aren't even considering him. If people had trouble with Scott singing GNR this guy murders!
