I bought one VIP package. I haven't received any email saying it's cancelled or what have you.

I can only guess that this was

a) extremely limited
b) not sanctioned by the band and therefore taken down

What I think is pretty cool is that either way, the band appears to be honoring the initial agreement. I kind of hope it's just 5 of us. I feel bad for the people who waited too long, though.

Time will tell. I hope I'm not fubar'd out of FLOOR seat.

I gotta guess A is correct. Fernando replied when someone asked if the band knew about the packages and said something to the effect of "yes we are looking forward to it"

Just going on a backstage tour is enough for me!

Don't get me wrong, I would enjoy it as well, and I tried to purchase it, but I am honestly just as content enjoying regularly like I have done every other time and have never left disappointed.  I think it would definately be nice to meet band members, but I have never really made it my mission.  Besides as human as I am sure Axl is, I am not to sure that I wouldn't pass out if the opportunity existed, I would be very overwhelmed indeed, so rather than draw a crowd, i'm probably better off in a seat watching from a short distance, with no worries lol...

That takes the fun out of standing out side for 12 hours to be 1st in line! lol i did that in NYC on 5/14/06 and in Mass on 11/8/06...i didn't have to pay 300 to be front row...300 is LAME! ya you get few cool things...but 300? I just want to be front row...and ill wait in line all day if i have to....shouldn't be able to buy your way by everyone who will wait in line...real fans wait all day in LINE!!!!! lol

When it comes to GNR I don't mind paying rediculous amounts to be where I want to be.  As I have mentioned numerous times, and not that it makes me a star, but my travel with my family to Rio in 06 wasn't cheap, but it really isn't even about the money to me, it is the whole damn experience of it that makes it worth everything yes.
