If we have any Dinosaur Jr. fans here (they're not for everyone I realize), their new album Beyond is quite splendid and worth the $12 I paid at the local record store.  Anyone else who has heard it.....let me know what you think. peace

You should have seen the cover they wanted to do. It wasn't a glove, believe me.

They're late 80's, early 90's alt/indie rock.  This is the first album in 10 years and first with the original lineup since 1989.

I got the song  "Been There All the Time" from their new album sometime last year and it is very good. The album is equally good. This should not be classified as a reunion record. Beyond is a continuation of where Dinosaur Jr. was in the 90's and rocks just as hard.  Great guitar work helps too drool

I hate to bump such an old thread but I've been listening to this album quite a lot again recently. Anyone who likes big ass guitar solos should check it out.  ok

I've just got the latest album "Farm". I was not too keen on "Beyond" so I didn't know what to expect with their latest effort.  Farm is killer though, much cleaner sound than beyond, guitars are loud but you can also hear other instruments (and that didnt really happen in Beyond). Vocals and melodies are up to par with "Where you been" (by far my favorite Dinosaur Jr album).

This band is incredible. I'm surprised to see there are not many fans around here. J Mascis is one of the most talented guitars players of our generation, highly recommended.

Best song from "Farm" is Said the people.

i just saw these guys a few weeks ago at the troubadour and it was one of the loudest shows EVER!
J is great and for some reason he needed 3 full marshall stacks and one facing him.. it was pretty nutty..i definitely got some more hearing loss after that night!!!

I was glad to see the original lineup back together on "Beyond," but "Farm" is leaps and bounds better.  Glad to see I'm not the only Dinosaur Jr. fan around these parts...
