Here Today...

« on: June 21, 2009, 10:00:48 AM »

Anyone see the 80'S rock Broadway show Rock Of Ages....Guess they couldn't get the rights to the biggest 80's band GN'R!! Too bad it, was a great fun show..They did play WTTJ, as so many others do, to get the crowds attention immediatly prior to the show starting. They also played SCOM at the begining of intermission..The placement of both songs made it feel as though they were both part of the performance..

I haven't seen or heard of it, but it sounds like it was fun Smiley. Incorporating GNR was probably indeed great to hear, but too bad it wasn't actually of part of the show, it certainly deserved it's spot regardless ok.

I've never truly associated GNR with the genre of '80s music' that is portrayed here.  Their songs generally don't scream '80s' like most other pieces of music from the era.  Some of the fashions, the videos, sure, but the music is with a few exceptions timeless.
