I am looking very forward to teh Dead Weather and the new Pearl Jam.

What type of band are they?

i always thought they were screamo, but i have been told they are not?

They are kind of a mix of several different styles.  Somw prog, a little old school metal, stoner metal, classic solos.  The singer sounds a bit like Ozzy on the newest cd.  The earlier stuff was a bit in the cookie monster vein.  Deff not screamo in  any shape or form.

Can't think of any other new albums I have enjoyed this year.

So far, I'd guess it'd be between Sonic Youth's The Eternal and Green Day's 21st Century Breakdown. But with Muse, Alice in Chains, and (possibly) Pearl Jam all coming in September, that's probably going to change.
