SLASH, SERJ TANKIAN, Ex-SOUNDGARDEN Members To Jam With TOM MORELLO - Mar. 9, 2009

Tom Morello of RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE and THE NIGHTWATCHMAN fame will bring his celebrated Justice Tour to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle in late March. The shows will carry a low ticket price of $15 for each show, and feature a variety of special guests, including Slash, SYSTEM OF A DOWN's Serj Tankian, SLIPKNOT's Corey Taylor, Steve Earle, SOUNDGARDEN's Kim Thayil and Ben Shepherd, MUDHONEY's Mark Arm, THE COUP's Boots Riley, MC5's Wayne Kramer, Shooter Jennings and more. These musicians will perform individual sets, as well as contribute to unique, once-in-a-lifetime collaborations with the other performers.

As more and more Americans are being pushed into poverty and homelessness by the unscrupulous behavior of CEOS, the Justice Tour hopes to be a part of a bailout for people, not banks. One hundred percent of the Justice Tour profits will benefit homeless advocacy and service groups, and the tour's artists will also partake in hands-on volunteer work with these organizations. Community partners for the shows are New Horizons in Seattle, Project Open Hand in San Francisco, and PATH in Los Angeles.

"The model of the Justice Tour is simple," said Morello. "Feed the poor. Fight the power. Rock the fuck out. I'm very excited to be doing this and jamming with my good friends on the various stops on the tour. I'm equally excited that these artists will be rolling up their sleeves to help alleviate hunger and homelessness in these hard times." Morello also noted, "It is very important to me to keep ticket prices super cheap so that everyone can enjoy these very special concerts."

Past Justice Tour dates have featured important social justice organizations and unforgettable performances with special guests Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro of JANE'S ADDICTION, Slash, Flea, Maynard James Keenan of TOOL, Sen Dog of CYPRESS HILL, Pete Yorn, Shooter Jennings, Mike Einzinger of INCUBUS and many others.

Tickets for all dates are now on sale. More information about the shows, the community partners, and how to buy tickets can be found at www.axisofjustice.org.

JERRY CANTRELL, SLASH, COREY TAYLOR Play With TOM MORELLO In Hollywood; Video Available - Mar. 30, 2009

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE guitarist Tom Morello continued the all-star onslaught on the current leg of his Justice Tour on Saturday (March 28), with SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor, ex-GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash and ALICE IN CHAINS axeman Jerry Cantrell joining him at the Hollywood stop of the tour. Also appearing were Wayne Kramer of the MC5 and CYPRESS HILL rapper Sen Dog.

Fan-filmed video footage of the concert can be viewed below.

Just four nights earlier on Tuesday, March 24, three-quarters of SOUNDGARDEN, minus singer Chris Cornell, performed together onstage for the first time in more than a decade at the Seattle stop on Morello's tour, with local grunge icon Tad Doyle on vocals.

Morello has pulled in friends such as Slash, Jerry Cantrell and Perry Farrell on previous Justice Tour shows, and told The Pulse of Radio that getting everyone together can be a job in itself. "It's like herding cats, you know?" he said. "Okay, we've got to get Slash and Perry and this person and all them, and we have to get 'em all to New Orleans somehow. That was fairly exhausting, but very worthwhile."

One hundred percent of the profits from Justice Tour shows benefit homeless advocacy and service groups, with artists on the tour also doing hands-on volunteer work with the organizations.
