I think that it more depends on promotion etc than music in these days if it goes to no 1 or not. That could be problem for GNR while music is great, management, current band image etc aren't as good.

It "only" takes one song at the right place at the right time....

sorry, wasn't trying to make anything personal.  But I do think you are giving a very safe, "political" answer.  It's hard to refute a "anything can happen" answer b/c you're really not saying anything definitively to refute to begin with.  I agree with you, at the right time at the right place, ANYTHING can happen.  sure.    Very easy to say.

your "right place, right time" logic isn't really taking a side either way - do you honestly not have an opinion on whether or not "Sorry" will propel CD to the top of the charts the was SCOM did for AFD?  If not, I guess time will tell give us the answer.  To me the whole point of discussions like this IS to take a side, to have an opinion. 

I do think there are a couple of songs on CD that could make it a hit album, but Sorry isn't one of them.

and we share exactly the same thoughts ... there are no fillers on this album. everything is just at place where it should be. excellent flaw, excellent atmosphere... so the excellent album.

Fuck - no way anything on CD comes close to be called fillers 

Hasn't left my CD/IPOD since I got it - now I know the order random plays the songs too in my car

Sorry is a good fan song b/c of the lyrics.  I personally find it kind of boring.  I don't think there are any songs on CD that will blow it up the way SCOM did for AFD.
