what is the "chorus" to november rain?

Even though it's not a "traditional" chours

Do you need some time, on your own?
Do you need some time time, all alone?
Ooh everybody needs some time on their own
Don't you know you need some time, all alone

then slightly altered

Sometimes I need some time on my own
Sometimes I need some time all alone
Oooh everybody needs some time on their own
Don't you know you need some time, all alone

oh ok....this not "traditional" either

So if she's somewhere near me
I hope to God she hears me
There's no one else
Could ever make me feel
I'm so alive

I hoped she'd never leave me
Please God you must believe me
I've searched the universe
And found myself
Within' her eyes

There is not a "traditional" chorus to many of GNR's ballads.

GNR doesn't have many new fans, because there were no music.
After first, second ... single and video gnr will have new fans

This isn't the early 1990's anymore.  Many people who would be into a band like GN'R don't buy albums.  Seriously, record sales are DOMINATED by the under 30 demographic, and a large percentage of those people think of Britney's third album as classic music.  Making its debut at 3rd in an industry now dominated by preteens and teens is a phenomenal accomplishment, especially with no tour immediately preceding the release, next to no radio play (over here, anyway), and no half-naked blondes on the cover.

Quote
1) Axl decided to do zero promotion for this album.  I know, and love Axl for what he stands for.  However, I think he could have still done a few promotional things without crossing the line and "pimping himself out"
2) While I love the Best Buy Exclusive....their promotion was a joke.  They should have advertised this much more and earlier.
3) I can't believe that GNR singles were pushed harder for radio play.  This could have been done much better if promoted properly.
4) We have not see any members of the band out promoting this album
5) I would have liked to see articles and photos of the band in almost every music magazine and newspaper this month
6) I can't imagine how or why GNR's top notch management team decided that his was the best way or enough promotion for an album like this one
7) At a minimum, I would have thought that an interview and cover of Rollingstone would have been done

Amen to it all

In my country kids don't buy CD's. It's the old people that do. 40's and up.

I doubt many newcomers to GNR bought the album. With no video, no performances and no interviews in promotion of it, you're hardly likely to attract a new audience.

I wonder what effect the Myspace thing had on sales, and effect on new generation fans.

I am also going to strongly disagree with whoever think This I Love has single potential...no way.

Better needs to be pushed hard, its the biggest single. I'd love for them to play it on late night circuit, SNL...do a video, whatever, its the bullet, the one that shoulda lead off and should be in video games, def not Shacklers.

The closest SCOM/NR single is Street of Dreams or Madagascar. Even though I love TWAT and Sorry more...those are more of Estranged/Locomotive songs, not mass hits.

I think new fans could be drawn in if songs like If The World and Sorry are heard - there are a lot of different styles of music going on in the album and these would appeal to different types of people who assume Guns N Roses is all hard rock....

Hopefully Better will get a lot of general hard rock fans interested..

The 8 million myspace streams -  loads of people I am sure streamed it continually to no where near 8 million people listened to it - and generally Myspace is a sub25 age group user - so GnR main market would not be hit.  UK wise people I know have heard one or two songs once on the radio,  trouble is as the songs generally take a few listens it will take a while for this to flow through - I think CD will amass strong sales over a long period of time, without ever having spectacular chart success.....

My sister bought it, it's the first Gn'R CD she's ever owned.   ok

That being said, she's not "new" to them at all.  I can't imagine, unless you live in the middle of absolute nowhere, that most people haven't heard at least a few Gn'R songs before.  So many of them are entrenched in pop culture, it's hard to picture a time when they weren't there.

I think maybe alot of the Rockband 2 buyer's that heard Shacklers Revenge may have gone and gotten a copy.  I agree with the poster who said you don't get new fans unless there's a video out.  I totally agree.

Give it time....there are soooo many different avenues and angles on this album that just about everyone out there could like at least one song...   Over time, when more and more people hear different songs, it will sell more and more!  Like i've said before... just about every review I've read on this album states different favorite songs from the next review.  Some people love Catcher, TWAT, and This I Love while some like Better, Shacklers, and I.R.S, while some even like a mix of Scraped, This I Love, and Madagascar.

Thats the sign of an album that will sell a lot over time in my mind!!!

How is there no chorus to This I Love?

So if she's somewhere near me
I hope to God she hears me
There's no one else that ever made me feel I was so alive
I hoped she'd never leave me
Please God you must believe me
I searched the universe and found myself within her eyes

That's the chorus right there

exactly....

this song is epic by the way!
