I know this should not be a thread. However, I just want to point something out. Before the Giants took the lead by that AWESOME drive, Welcome
to the Jungle was playing. Who know maybe that fired the Giants up a bit.

Possibly, but Welcome to the Jungle has been played at every sporting event I've ever been to.

Does this mean the rumors of GnR playing at the Superbowl was actually RIGHT this year?

 rofl

Seriously, I think WTTJ is played at almost ever major sporting event across the country.  I've heard it during baseball games, football games, basketball games.....

Next it'll be tennis and golf matches. Smiley

Of course, preceeding WTTJ was the OTHER old standby: Enter Sandman.  It was like the guy on the PA system realized he had to get all the old cliche music in because time was running out!

Hey, it was just something that I noticed. That's all. I know that WTTJ is played at every football game. I just found it interested  that the drive occured after the song was played.  I think a lot of people here are just jealous that the NJ/NYC area has a championship!!:) Just playing. Anyway, that's that.

Any one who watches football knows that Jungle is played before every kick off and during the games. All games. Regular season, playoffs, Super Bowl. Obviously, the NFL has bought the rights to the song. But it is nice to hear and a real kick because the song rocks.

the NFL has bought the rights to the song.

Uh, not exactly.

No rights purchase is necessary.

So you are saying the song is played for free, with no royalties? The NFL just plays it because it can? That is hard to believe. I think they have to get some kind of permission to use copyrighted material, and surely there are royalties involved. To think otherwise flies in the face of logic and everything that is going on with copyrighted material these days. So obviously there had to be a "purchase" of some rights or use-rights, or else the NFL is open to a massive law suit, it would seem. IMHO.

Going by that logic evry band that has songs play between set ups for band would be getting some breed.

I've heard WTTJ at every sporting event I've been to. Whether it be baseball, football, high school wrestling matches, whatever. I've heard it everywhere!

Just one of those songs you play at a sporting event.
