scottish soccer player dies after collapsing on pitch

phil o' donnell, 35 year old captain of motherwell football club in the scottish premier division dies on saturday after collapsing on the pitch.  as yet it is unsure how he dies but he leaves behind his wife and 4 children.  phil was a great servant to football having started his carrer at motherwell and had spells at celtic and sheffield wenesday before moving back to motherwell.  he also gained 1 cap for scotland.
