CIRCUS DIABLO To Open For VELVET REVOLVER, ALICE IN CHAINS In Irvine - Oct. 8, 2007

CIRCUS DIABLO ? the new project featuring THE CULT guitarist Billy Duffy, THE ALMIGHTY frontman Ricky Warwick (guitar), ex-THE CULT touring bassist/current CAMP FREDDY guitarist Billy Morrison (vocals), and former FUEL/current RIDERS ON THE STORM frontman Brett Scallions (bass) ? will open for VELVET REVOLVER and ALICE IN CHAINS on October 26 at the Verizon Amphitheater in Irvine, California.

"[VELVET REVOLVER drummer] Matt [Sorum] called and invited us to do the show and who wouldn't wanna open THAT gig?" explained Morrison.

According to Billy, CIRCUS DIABLO's lineup for the concert will consist of Morrison, Warwick, Charles Ruggiero (drums; SLUNT), Rob Patterson (guitar; KORN, OTEP) and the band's friend Patrick Cornell who has been playing bass guitar with the group when Brett has been unavailable. A Los Angeles club gig will be announced soon as will several West Coast dates for late November and early December.

CIRCUS DIABLO's uncensored video for "Loaded" premiered on NGTV.com (No Good TV) and can be viewed below. According to a press release, the uncensored version of this video was created specifically for No Good TV. The edit includes content that would not be allowed to air on conventional music video networks.

The band recently inked a deal with KOCH Entertainment. Matt Sorum (VELVET REVOLVER, ex-GUNS N' ROSES) played drums on the group's self-titled debut album, which was released on July 3. The video features guitarist Patterson and Ruggiero, who also round out CIRCUS DIABLO's touring lineup.

VELVET REVOLVER: Irvine Concert Postponed Due To Devastating Southern California Wildfires - Oct. 25, 2007

VELVET REVOLVER has postponed its headlining concert this Friday, October 26 at the outdoor Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine, CA due to the devastating Southern California wildfires. This includes the fire in the city of Irvine where evacuations have taken place and the Irvine School District has closed all schools on Friday due to poor air quality. The rescheduled show ? with ALICE IN CHAINS, who were also set to play the Irvine gig ? will take place Wednesday, December 12 at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles after VELVET REVOLVER return from their tour of Japan and Australia.

Fans holding tickets for the October 26 Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre show that were purchased at Ticketmaster retail outlets or at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre box office can exchange them for tickets to the new venue at the Gibson Amphitheatre box office starting Monday, November 5. The Gibson Amphitheatre box office is open Monday through Saturday, 1 PM to 8:45 PM.

Fans who purchased tickets via Ticketmaster.com or through Ticketmaster Charge-By-Phone will automatically receive tickets to the Gibson Amphitheatre December 12 by mail. For those unable to attend to the new date and new facility, refunds are available at point-of-purchase.

VELVET REVOLVER sends their sincerest thoughts and prayers to those who have been affected by the tragic fires in Southern California, where the Governor has issued a State of Emergency for seven counties including Orange County. The Irvine fire has left the air quality extremely poor and there is concern that the county's resources ? police, fire and medical ? will be spread much too thin and thus compromise a safe environment for the fans.

STOP PRESS: As you have probably all seen already, tomorrows Irvine show at the Verizon Amphitheater with Velvet Revolver and Alice In Chains has been postponed due to the Southern California fires. The date has been rescheduled for Wednesday December 12th at the Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles and Circus Diablo will be opening the evening. We will also be scheduling some regional club shows for this period so keep your eyes on the site for further details. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Malibu and San Diego.

Can't you go to point of purchase and get your refund?

No offense, but considering the circumstances, doesn't it seem a bit trivial to be pissed over refunds on concert tickets?

Don't be surprised if another band with ties to the current bill ends up playing as well...  Wink

I keep forgetting to check out CD,

Great riffs, catchy hooks/melodies/chorus' and stealth solos galore.

Give it a go.

This new date of December 12th is the last date for the tour on Velvetrevolver.com

Is this the end of the tour?  Have any more dates been announced?
