Hey

I was looking through some old boots of the UYI tour , I always thought the first NA leg was the best with just the band, unpredictable and amazing . After Gilby came, Teddy, Tracy, Roberta and shit which I didn't enjoy as much, it was just different too much like the Stones, anyhow I felt things got back on track during the Skin and Bones leg.

Anyway, back to the question. I read Axl saying sonewhere that Slash put the whole thing together and what a great job he did doing it. Another time I read it was all Axl's idea anyone remember?

To me, it seems like more of an Axl deal, but who knows. Slash, I think, said it was axl and Axl said it was Slash. Whatever, I agree with you that it was a little ridiculous, no matter whose idea it was.

I read that was Slash's idea but Axl wanted the band big

I think that it was mutual, but it was Slash's idea from the start.

I find it weird that he basically "hated" the idea when they talked about it on 'Behind The Music', though.

I think in Slash's autobiography, he said that it was Axl's idea, but Slash was tasked with all the organising.  As I recall, he said the Skin N' Bones tour was his favourite part.
