Appetite LP Reissue?

hi all

saw today a brand new Appetite LP with the ORIGINAL cover, at tower records.

now, AMG saying that Universal reissued the album on LP in 2006.
I've never heard about it, not to mention the cover is the original one, and not the cross & skulls.

So, could it be the real, lost, first print LP or a new one, with the same cover?

As a collector, I wanna get the REAL thing and not some reissued that looks-just-like-the-real-thing!

On the record itself it says Geffen records 1987 and under it MCA records, at a small small size.

What do you say?
Should I get it (for $22) or try to get a "real" one from ebay?

damn! i bought a LP with the original cover a couple of days ago,i hope it wasn't a reissue. it does look 'used' in the corners.. can you check if its a reissue or not?

My AFD is all scratched up.Still listen to it, but perhaps this will entice me to buy a new copy.

Reissue. MCA didn't purchase Geffen until 1990.

Where is there a Tower Records still open?  Thought they all went out of business?

While in japan for the 5 shows, I noticed tower records everywhere but in california they have been closed for nearly a year now.

Yeah there is tower records in ireland too, think its just america it closed down.

Saw it in Melbourne in HMV over a year ago and wasn't even the slightest bit interested as I have and prefer the original. Check ebay as it comes up occasionaly.

The copy you bought is used? Reissues aren't used copies of things, they are an official reprintings from an obsolete or discontinued issue. If your copy is used I would bring it back!
