To be fair, even though SBQM doesn't have exactly the same riff as Slither, it does sound similar and it seems to me like a blatant attempt to capitalize on the success of Slither by releasing a similar sounding albeit drastically inferior song as the first single

The lead single was a dud as shown by the first week sales.  I think the best single strategy to maximize sales would've been to release Get Out The Door or Just 16 as the first single and then follow that up with The Last Fight then then follow that with whichever of those first two you didn't choose

Amen. It really seems so obvious that this is the way it should have been done. The problem is the suits are so fuckin far removed from what people want and the band isn't taking this responsibility on themselves.

Also agree. You gotta know when you're beat and this single is never ever going to take off.

My teenage daughter  likes SBQM. It means the song was chosen for a reason, to appeal to a certain demographic. It also means that I have something in common with her. Now I have to kill myself.  rofl

I do not agree. I think that "she builds quick machine" is a great song to be the first single. It has a Velvet Revolver representative Riff

You mean the riff from Slither?? Roll Eyes

You must not have ears - they sound nothing alike. They are both in drop d but that's it. Slither is an amazing riff, one of Slash's best ever, SBQM sucks and sounds like Vertigo.

That's funny considering slash said the reason it was released as the first single is because it was the most "slither sounding" of all the songs? ok

The arrangement is very similiar but its a very different riff.
