The chorus in For A Brother sounds like the verses in State of Love and Trust.  Almost the same exact melody, you can't deny that.

Yes man, there's a clear similarity.

Gravedancer has something similar to Fall To Pieces; and I also think that Spay's intro sounds a little bit like The Damned's ''New Rose'', covered by GNR in TSI

First thing I noticed about "For A Brother."  Its been the biggest grower on the album, and stuck in my head more than any other track.

The chorus to "Mary, Mary" is a lift of the Stones "Little T&A."

Still dont see anything but the vaguest resemblance between "Gravedancer" and "Fall To Pieces."

Yeah, I think so...

Still, it's a good song. The "I am free" part is great and touching.

Yeah the only similarity betwen Fall to Pieces and Grave Dancer is they both use arpeggiated chords....

The melody of for a brother is similar inplaces to State of Love and Trust...but I wouldn't call it a rip....just has some reminiscent qualities....you can find a million examples of stuff like that....

The chorus for SOLAT and FAB is the almost identical, much like the RHCP song was was similar to the Petty song.

Yup. Weiland kind of got the last laught though. How relevant is Pearl Jam nowadays? At least Weiland can still sell albums.

Pearl Jam's last album sold around 280,000 albums the first week I believe.  That's not too bad at all, I'm sure VR would be quite happy with that opening figure

Pearl Jam hasn't had the type of label promotion that VR gets for many years, largely due to the band being perfectly happy to release albums without a ton of fanfare, but they still are selling albums at a nice rate, many years after their heyday

I am not hearing it at all....  You guys are really stretching on this one.  There are only so many chords and notes, there are many similarities in many songs.  These songs are way too different.  I agree the RHCP song is almost identicle to Tom Petty's last dance with mary jane.  This is nowhere near that and if anything is, its all coincidence.

Yes.

And the only resemblence I see between Fall To Pieces and Grave Dancer is the opening arpeggio, which has the same three or four opening notes.
