Coming to London...Need Tips!

For live music, if still open, the " venue" in newcross ( bad area but good music).

All they do is Abba, Oasis, Westlife etc. Tribute nights, it's awful.


Just find some good bars.

Oooh, well, times change..

I remember a wild night there, with a hard rock band and a guitarist wearing a rose on the side of his hat..oh that was fun, although he smiled at me, and jumped in the crowd, of course, lights were lit full on, took the rose out of his hat and put it at my feet in front of everyone..i've never felt so embarassed in my whole life..

It used to be a good rock and roll hangout..almost ...well 15 years ago..soon 20...crap, i think there is a generation gap there, this is new to me, got to go and think about it and sulk ...

London never was..My student days were harsh financially..I couldn't afford concerts either..and funnily enough, one night, at the garlic and shots in soho ( bar whose owner is a comtempory of yours i think ?), slash walks in and it's then i remember there actually was GNR in concert...i had blanked it off, too sad to not be able to afford it..

There at least used to be a great bookstore at Rock Circus, you had to go through it to reach the store.
They had alot of books about bands and stuff, books I had never seen 
Went broke in that store
