Ok, I know there's a thread for YouTube clips and this has been seen before by most people...but seriously, Jarmo, perhaps this should be stickied in the "Important Topics" section for the remainder of the tour?

It really says it all. Or you can delete this. Just throwin' it out there  yes

People who go would like to have it be something special, there is basically NO reason to go to a show on this particular tour if you already went once...you will get the same show, more or less.  That could not be said on the UYI tour..

They were the biggest band in the world at the time and had nothing to prove to anybody. For now, the band is going with what works for people who have most likely never seen them before.

And yeah, if you already saw them last year, chances are you live in America or Europe.

Why shouldn't Mexico, Japan and Australia get the same awesome show that I was fortunate enough to see 3x in Southern Cali last year? So that the 180 people online with nothing better to do get to read something interesting in the "Updates Thread"?

And you're right, there's no reason to go to a show on this tour if you already went last year. It's someone else's turn now. I live in CA. I'm not going to Mexico or Australia to see them this year. Why would I? It's their turn. Next time I get a chance to see them it'll either be a warm-up show in a small club this year (a special experience in itself even with the same set) or it'll be after (if) the album comes out when they will obviously be changing some things. I'd be happy either way.

I'll be the first to admit I was a little disappointed when I went to two of the Gibson Amp shows last year and got pretty much the same set twice in a row. But uh, that's my fault for going twice (I still say it was worth it). The band doesn't care that I'm there twice when there's 8,000 new people there to leave a good first impression with.

I have to agree.  We aren't there and we are the die hards.  99% of the GnR fans, past fans, and new fans haven't heard the 5+ new songs that are being played.  What is old to us is new to the majority.  We can't compare this tour/album to any of the past others because the Internet plays a major role in the music industry today.  GnR got away with playing the whole album back in 91 because the Internet wasn't there.  People couldn't go online and hear the whole album the next day.  They heard the songs once and that was it until the album dropped.  The sales of the album weren't hurt.

I do agree on the fact they should play all the new songs that we have heard at every show.(if they're on the album)  Also, they could possibly add a few songs from the UYI era.  This way we get the past hits and the new stuff in one show. (Well we get it now I guess since AFD is full of hits. haha)

The only other suggestion that I see plausible is that they play 1 new song on each new tour.  1 new in 2007, 1 in 2008, 1 in 2009 and so forth. (hopefully we don't have to wait that long.)

Maybe they could play some NWA covers.

We've already had this discussion once today, and the whiners will still whine about something they have no control over and absolutely no right to whine about anyway.
