The following appears in the May 2007 issue of Maxim magazine as a part of the "25 Greatest Arguments of All Time...Settled!" article.

Appetite for Destruction vs. Back in Black

GN'R's debut gave us "Welcome to the Jungle," "Paradise City," and "Sweet Child O'Mine."  But AC/DC cranked out a hell-raising album even after their frontman croaked - by dragging Brian Johnson out of a seedy Welsh pub.

Winner:  Appetite.  It was both the pinnacle and the death knell of '80s rock.

Does the story much of a presence and picture to go with it?  Or is it just tucked away inside?

Was there really a need to mention just the big 3 hits? Honestly, everyone who has ever listened to AFD knows that some of the lesser known album tracks are just as good as the big 3. "Nightrain," "Rocket Queen," and "Mr. Brownstone" for starters. That's the big difference between AFD and BIB for me. BIB has more popular singles (around 5 or 6 instead of 3), but the album-only tracks aren't that great. What makes AFD great isn't the singles. Anyone can put out a few good singles but still have a mediocre album. GN'R exceeded that in a big way by kicking total butt on almost every song of the album.

There's a very small picture of both the Appetite and BiB covers.

Interestingly enough, the "article" is in what could be described as a "centerfold."  rofl
